These guns that cost $400+ and can shoot the eyeballs out of a frog at 50yds are great but there is something to be said for eliminating a venomous snake with a bb through the head at 10 or 15yds.


Yeah, we grow big copperheads around here too.

My KWC Berreta M92! First time shooting it since I got it, took it with my mom to the backyard against a cardboard box and a big water bottle.

This is her first time watching (and firing!) a fully automatic in person, and she enjoyed it a lot We even recorded firing it in slow motion and she kept saying it was just like in movies.

This'll be an amazing memory to have :')

It was! Hopefully one day I'll get my siblings to join. And if I'm ever a dad or an uncle, it's gonna be so much fun taking the young ones and teach them how to use airguns. Just like me and my mom when I was a teen!

The Crosman Powermaster 664SB got the juices flowing. This morning I went digging further and found the Crosman Powermaster 664GT. This one I found in a pawn shop when we first moved to Alabama from Ohio and had not purchased a washer/dryer yet. There was a small pawn shop next to the laundry mat. They were going out of business and I spotted the black with gold trim gun. $20 price tag. I just gave him the $20 and brought it home.
This gun is a single loader. I'll scrounge up another 4x24 scope and get this one going today. I know it had a gold 20mm scope on it when I got it but that is long gone..  no details on where it went.

BTW, the 664SB is loving the Daisy wadcutters in the new blue/white tins. 5 - 6 pumps at 20yds is minute of paintball all day. Little green army men, beware. We call that game "Putin Shootin". The paintball game is "Shooting the balls off of them" and the can game is "Shoot til his can falls off".

I found a clear 3x9-32 Optima scope ( a combo scope ) that is good enough for a plastic fantastic pumper and put it on the 664GT. I scoped both of these guns with low rings and had to reverse the rear sights on both so the bells would not touch. I do this instead of just removing them so I don't lose them.
The nice thing is that this gun shoots the Daisy wadcutters in the blue/white tins just as well as the 664SB.
So far we got 2 great little garden guns ready to go. I have a few more older Crosman plastic fantastic pumpers but they are not in as good of shape cosmetically as these two. I thing it may be time to move onto the Daisy pumpers. Most of those I have are metal/metal but I have a few plastic examples to play with. I'll have to start using some of the better scopes I have spare because I'm about out of the combo scopes... unless I move some things around.



Ain't retirement great? I don't have to ration my time like I did when I did the 7 to 5 thing 6 and 7 days a week.

After a bit of inventory I decided to stay in the same ballgame, just up the quality of players a bit. I ran across a couple candidates. A Crosman 766 and a Crosman 2200 magnum. Sadly I won't be telling any stories about how I came to own these 2 because I have no idea. 
Looks like the 766 will be first up to bat... after some breakfast, of course.

I have nothing on my calendar today except shooting some pellets.  Presently, I'm on the patio with my neglected Beeman R9 and she is dead on the 25 and 30 yard spoons.  When I tire of shooting spoons, I'll break out the also neglected Diana 34 and shoot some targets.  The handguns will follow.

A cool beautiful afternoon was spent shooting a new model Daisy 25 for about 25 shoots and what a terrible trigger it has:(  I started out with a model 25 way back in the 1940's, as my first air gun and it was so much better than the newer model.  Most of the time today was shooting my new C2023 pumper and what a joy it is to shoot.  Charles

After the 766 adventure the plan was to get into the 2200 magnum. But something else came to mind. I have a couple Crosman 2100 that I upgraded with Eric Gilman's stocks, one in walnut and one in mesquite. But there was a 3rd pumper next to those 2. Also sporting Eric's walnut is a Remington AirMaster 77. I chose to leave this one at a satin finish and I'm so glad I did.
The other thing is, I can't bring myself to scope this gun. I love the balance and feel of this gun as I walk around the property and shoot it with open sights.

Well, I got in a few shots with my Diana 34 between the Alabama and Tennessee games.  It's a little nippy on the patio with that north wind in your face. In fact, I'm gonna blame the  north wind for me not getting a decent group.

Yesterday, I shot my Beeman R9 at some 25 and 30 yard spoons and was happy with her feel and accuracy. I reckon it's my age but, the smaller and lighter 30S' and the R7 are much more comfortable to carry and to shoot than are the bigger guns.  Oh well....

Today I shot my Diana AMO3 Stealth .22. It was a great fall day to shoot. Overcast and mid to low 50*s, my kind of weather.

Blew the dust off my Daisy 901 and tried it for the first time in a couple of years. It was still dead on and accurate. So I got out my Kral Puncher and shot it for the first time in almost 3 years. Again, dead on as before. I was amazed that it had not leaked air in all that time. Still exactly where I had it at 2500 psig when I put it away. I will have to get out some other rifles that have not been used in a few years and make sure they are still in good shape.

Stil really enjoy shootin the Co2 guns. Industry Brand 78 .22 cal, topped off with a Beeman shorty and mod. This one I tweaked years ago shootin 13 fpe.

I've  bought many guns since purchasing this one in 2007...fun & accurate.

At our monthly fun shoot in Cross, S.C., yesterday shot my LG53, LG55 DST, LG55 Tyrolean, Gamo 440, B2 and SPA SR1250W. And today B40, LG55 DST, CZ631, Crosman G1 Extreme and Remington Summit.

FWB 124 and Beeman HW77 MK1. Just fixed the dieseling/detonation issue that the HW had when I got it, so first chance I’ve had to shoot them together. Pretty darn pleasant experience. Excellent guns both.
