The plan is to continue moving through some of my classic and vintage pumpers. A few more Crosman classics to visit before I get to the classic Daisy pumpers. After that I'll visit the vintage Sheridans, Crosmans and a Rochester.

I replaced the hard plastic butt plate on my Diana D34 a couple ago, it now wears rubbet Pachmayr 1/2" recoil pad. I haven't had a chance to try that out so that will probably be my choice for today.

Throughout the day, yesterday, I got to shoot my Walther Terrus, RWS 3400 and FWB Sport. All .177s at 30 meters on steel targets.

Small game season opened here last Saturday.  I had to work last weekend but I'm going hunting tomorrow.  So today I fine tuned the scope mounts and zero on the sawed off Fire and the C362.

Sighted in my aea m50 today. I was early today so I got it on paper and pretty close. I think I need to clean the barrel before I take it out again. I still need to figure out what shoots best. This thing is a beast! I can't wait to get it dialed in and shoot a full soda can! It seems to like the texoma precision pellet 235 gr slugs. Iirc it wasn't doing too bad with the krsc 191 gr goomba either. It was sent with 258 gr looks like Mr hp slug. I haven't tried those. Maybe I should have lol. I had a great time today and am now one step closer to having my spring projects completed lol.

Man, I've been shooting a bunch of classic and vintage pumpers over the past few days. Many have been walks down memory lane. Yesterday afternoon I wrapped it up and transferred all guns I had in the Red Shed gun cabinet back into the house cabinets.
But wait, there's more....
Last thing I did before closing up the Red Shed for the night was to take the Seneca Dragonfly MKII .177 out to the shack and put it in the cabinet. This will be the flavor of the morning today.

Yeah, this MK2 definitely has earned it's place among my pumpers. Mine is in .177 with a great Hawke scope on it. I have a pair of the CARM mags that make pellet loading easy.
5 - 6 pumps is all I need to shoot my normal range and is plenty to knock that pesky pest off it's perch. Mine is not pellet picky at all. Although I may have to slightly adjust the turrets when switching pellet brands, types and weights, accuracy is minute of brain matter for each.
It has a very long pump stroke but if I rest the butt pad on my thigh I don't have a problem getting the full stroke. I don't completely close the pump arm for each stroke. It locks into place when closed to home position.
The trigger is smooth and predictable and the pull is light enough that I don't pull off of POA when I shoot it.
This gun took some break in. I had doubts when I first got it because pumping was hardish and clunky. But after a few hundred shots it is much smoother. I expect it to get even better with more use.
It's light weight and shoulders well. Not too big and not too small. And it's a good looking gun as far as style, fit and finish.

The weather has broke.  It's a pleasant 70° on the patio with hardly any breeze and I'm shooting 25 and 30 yard spoons with my peep-sighted HW30S. 

My last outing was a couple or three days before the wind and cold set in with my heavy (to me) Diana 34.  These 30S' are sure a lot handier than are the Diana or R9 but, I've got 'em and they're paid for.

I also shot up a coke can with my Crosman .357.

Shot some 10M offhand with the HW30S.   Some days I don't like it.   Some days (like today) it seems to shoot pretty good or more likely, I just happened to shoot pretty good.   Some times it takes me a long time to decide if I like a gun.   Sometimes I know if I like (or hate) it instantly.   Like I knew my FWB 601 was magically wonderful the first time I shouldered it and pulled the trigger.   And I just knew the Winchester1100 wasn't going to have a forever home with me the first time I shot it.

Today I received my new HW95 Luxus and gave it a run for the money and was super pleased how well it performed and for me it is easy to cock and shoot.  Also spent time shooting my HW35E which is another HW jewel.  Love all of my 7 HW rifles!  Charles

 Got done working at noon, so grabbed the Evanix Speed Fire .25, and the Huben GK1 .22, both shooting close to the same power, on a squirrel hunt.
 Found a nutty knoll on the nearby state land Sat a few yards in and let nature adjust, I could hear a squirrel barking but never did see one in the 2 hours I still hunted that area. Though I was surrounded by a good dozen chipmunks, so on my way out I took one for Wayne with the Speed Fire.

I shot the C362 at spinners again today.  I finally got tired of pumping and brought out the Crosman Fire/Prowler hybrid.  I wasted a few minutes trying to get it to shoot CPHP better than it can.  Then I opened a tin of 8.4gr H&N FTT and started stacking them at 30 yards.

Very nice. Great rifle. Did you get .177 or .22? And yes, shockingly easy to cock for a springer with the pop it has. All the HW 50 fanbois like to talk about the 50 being a pound lighter than the 95, but they don’t like to talk about how much easier the 95 is to cock ha ha ha! Congrats.

Bill's adventures with his classic Crosman pumpers inspired me to get my Crosman 2100 down off the wall and run some H&N FTT through it.  The wind was gusty when I went outside so I got my Merlin out of my fire bag and turned on the digital anemometer.  Gusting 6-9 mph and changing direction frequently so I wasn't going to do any long range shooting.  The Merlin computes wind velocity, direction, temperature, barometric pressure, and relative humidity.  It's a wildland fire fighters tool but it's also a super handy range gadget too.  I walked the trails through the Titi thickets on my permission.  I was calmer in the swamp but the wind was still whipping the tree tops and no squirrels were spotted so I took my frustration out on pinecones.  I found out I needed to get within 20 yards to assure a hit in these winds.  Good to know.
