https://www.lubefinder.com/shell-corena-s2-p-150.htmlI'm going to switch from royal purple to this stuff. Flash point is quite high. Viscosity at temp is higher, too. Cost is the same, roughly.
Well, not to one up you guys, BUT...I'm running a balanced and forged flat-plane crank in mine. No more sling lubrication: I dry-sumped it. Also just switched out every fastener to ARP hardware. Titanium ARP hardware, of course...Currently looking in to installing variable valve timing to speed things up and a wastegate to slow things down.
I've been following this and other compressor topics.I'd sure like to be self sufficient and get a compressor. I currently have a Great White 97. However both of my PCP require 230 bar for a full fill. I doesn't take long before I'm short filling to 200 bar and shot count drops dramatically.I refill at a scuba shop about 25 miles away. Lately because I need to make an appointment because they are only there a few hours a day, and only a couple of days a week.I really don't want to buy a compressor that might be junk in a year. How much does one really have to spend to be able to fill a large 88 or 97 tank? I might be worth it considering a second large tank would cost another $900. On the upside.....I'm 65 so new 15year CF tanks most likely will outlast me in this hobby. Are the best quality or highest priced hand pumps capable of refilling to that 230 bar pressure? How long does it take a quality compressor to refill a 250cc tank from 120-230 bar?

I saw the shell on a dive site a guy from south Africa said they used that a lot there , have to see if we can get it in the usa , or better yet local here some where around here , I might just call thunder reef a local dive shop that does refills ,and see what they have to say on oil and, availability .

Now ya just need to buy a MONKEY ! to jump up and down on the handle ,and you'd be all set !

Eveything looked great otherwise. Fantastic, really. But the second stange... It seemed the oil wasnt quite doing it's job there. At least where the seals were.

Well that's interesting , I have not picked up the royal purple yet ,and if there is detonation happening on the upper cylinder that would have a bad effect on that rod that you broke hmmm , that may very well be the reason for breaking the rods on these to some extent or contribute to it ..well I guess we need to get /spend the $ on the real stuff that has the higher burn rate , I guess you and I will be the test shot and maybe others if they want to test the dive compressor oil out ,and tear down after so many hours and see if things look better ...
I use the Royal Purple and think it is a good choice. The best protection for your Yong Heng may be to buy a second Yong Heng at the same ridiculously low price. Got mine for < 200 from Walmart.com. They come and go in stock. They also offer extended warranties for cheap.
