Shouldn’t have bothered shooting the rifles last night or this morning. In contrast to the pistol session on Thursday night, I felt like my heart was pounding too hard and fast, and I could not steady my hold well. Body is just plain tired.

Several feral dogs have been running around chasing wildlife and barking up a storm from about midnight till dawn most nights for the last two or three weeks. I’m not getting any sleep on those nights. Wednesday night was blessedly peaceful, so that made for a much nicer Thursday overall.

There is also at least one neighbor who sometimes lets his dogs loose at night. I have every reason to think they might be seeking out locations of mountain lions to kill. Which should not be happening anywhere except on their own land. Two other neighbors stated they have heard shooting and seen spotlights used.

My new Umarex 9XP/40XP co2 bb pistol off the back porch at a couple of cat food cans at 7 yards. Hit'em more times than not. Gun has blowback, lock back. Recoil is hard, a little loud, 1.5lbs. Trigger blade safety is just for looks. $55+tax off amazon. Mags $10 at PA.

I shot a can with my HW30S in .22 cal this morning. I used my right hand to cock it.

Shot 12 PC cast 19.4s and 12 as cast through the Notos. The un-coated was the tighter group so still looks like Apollo or JSB 18s in the lead.
Took 125 pumps from 2K to 3.25K not fun but doable for some reason the Notos probe and hand pump didn't play well together but the China fill probe handled the task.

I shot FrankenDaisy this morning killing bulls eyes and
this after noon had fun plinking with the Buck Mark pistol making coke cans
dance. I love to see them jump around when they are hit.

I spent today in the shed playing with pencils and air guns. Or at least one air gun. I shot my Crosman 2100 at my 20' "indoor" range.

Tx97?! Put a grub screw in that was missing from the overtravel adjustment yesterday. Seemed to correct the issue of it going off when the safety is disengaged, then it started up again! I like the trigger better now anyway. Cocking it a few times to engage the safety semmedvto stop the issue time will tell.

I5's grouping well. Might try shooting a casual match as I continue to get to know and dual in this unusual rifle.

HW95 wearing R9 furniture

I was able to use my right arm to cock it without much discomfort. You can see it’s still pretty swollen and looks like an old man arm. 😆

Hi all…..been a while since I’ve posted. Having fun shooting my Crosman Nitro Venom .22. I have a 3x9 40AO on it and it is zeroed at 30 yds. Trying to get in some good shooting, next week I have Cataract surgery and won’t be able to shoot for a solid week. I can feel the withdrawal already. Stay well all, John

Tx97?! 670 fps with 8.64 at paper

7 pumps 100yr 362 with 15.4 apollo magnum (spike pellets) at .22lr spinners

All at 45 to 50 ft

Crosman 1499 with J.D. King buckhorn sight. Im really enjoying shooting this gun open sighted at 7 yards indoors. It ain’t Creedmore level accuracy but it is entertaining.

I sighted in the .177 RWS 34 after re-installing the 33 coil Vortek spring using the 8.64gr H&N Spitzkugel pellets. It produces less power than the ARH spring originally did by about 20 fps dropping the power from 14 ft lbs to 13 ft lbs but hopefully the Vortek spring will last longer than the ARH spring did. I am really disappointed in the ARH spring, it sagged in 1,500 shots and by the time I removed it from the rifle it had lost over 60 fps and two inches in length🤨 The ARH spring next to the Vortek spring after removal>>
