Bill, o ring on top of the cart, or did you go into the valve? I just tried an oiled o ring on top of the cart and I'm still getting a bit of hissing.

I just tried an oiled o ring on top of the cart and I'm still getting a bit of hissing. I put the oring above the cart. I think I saw a complete replacement valve assembly available that reasonably priced but was in pistol repair mode and not sure if it was for this gun or another. I'll see if I can find it and post a link.Edit... must have been a different pistol. But here is what I found for the P23.https://www.airgunspares.com/30418gamop23valveassembly.htmlI don't know if you can get inside the valve to replace parts.BTW... it's not the easiest gun I've ever worked on. There are some pretty small parts in there that have to go back just right. I always know when a gun is difficult to assemble because my cuss count goes way up.
I am in shock. I was shooting Eve 853, when the point of impact started to drop. At first it was justa half an inch, then one inch, now 2 inches. It appears to have a post cocking air pressure loss. The longer I wait to fire the more the pellet drops. I set it aside to fix later and picked up Dora 853. About 20 shots in during the compression stroke to lockthe lever in position, it just went "wooosh". Now it will not cock with out loosing all the pressure whenyou bring the lever down... just "woosh" Two 853s down in the same day.I really don't know what to think. I just had rebuilt them approximately the same time, maybe a week or so apart.Eve I believe is a valve problem or the valve body O-ring, like before.Dora, is probably the valve body O-ring, I don't think the pressure tube O-ring would act like this. The last time one of them did this it was the valve body O-ring.I'm just setting them aside for now and will start shooting FrankenDaisy and hope she doesn't break and misbehave as well. RonMine did as you described the first one. It loses air after cocking. I set it aside and aside it has sat. I have others that I prefer to shoot so it remains on the sidelines. I hope that you get yours repaired soon.
Bill got me inspired and I constructed a 20' range in the Dad cave. Pretty basic. Two layers of plywood behind a box stuffed with packing foam. I shot the 2200, 3rd model 1400, and the C362 all with CPHP and three pumps. The 2200 wins the award for worst trigger. The 1400 shot much better than I expected. I recently added an antique JD King Buckhorn sight to this gun and it lacks a proper elevator. I stuck a bent penny under it as a crude quoin to adjust the elevation and it works surprisingly well.
I shot my new baby while she was wearing her new glass, her name is tattooed on her side so I do not forget her name
