I just got an email from eBay saying they're refunding my money. They said allow up to 48 hours so we'll see. Supposedly something got delivered to the post office so I guess I'll have to check it out today

If everyone has responded, you'll be the first to actually receive something in the mail. Be sure to post what I didn't receive... lol

Just spoke to Ebay. Couldn't have been a better conversation. The service is great!! As big and international as Ebay is, they can't control all their users. But the service almost makes up for the scammers out there!! Refund is on it's way! I will be buying from Amazon!

LOL, there are scammers on Amazon too.  I have had the most bad luck with Amazon.  None with eBay...

I ordered something the other day and forgot to remove the Prime offer from my order. (Most times they add it and you have to remove it) I contacted them through there online chat and told them I did not want Prime. They told me to enjoy to 1 month free trial and they would make sure it did not renew next month.
The rub....
Everytime I go to Amazon it pops up a reminder that my Prime will expire and would I like to renew it.
I've made two purchases since. Both said 2 day free Prime shipping when I hit the order button. Both estimated delivery times are 7 to 10 days out after I checked out.
I call BS on Amazon.

Well my package got delivered today but I still don't know whats in it, since its in Utah and I am in SC. Ebay did send notification that my refund is being processed now and should be available within 48 hrs, due to invalid/false tracking #from the seller. I knew it would come to a refund but not when. Oh well was worth a try and got to learn how to investigate sellers and transactions through ebay. "Gee boss I always wanted to work on one of those" coulda been a lot worse.LOL

I would almost bet that all of the packages were some kind of drug or contraband but how would they get by customs etc.

I hear ya.  I opt in and out of the Prime every time I order something from them, which is rare.

LOL, there are scammers on Amazon too.  I have had the most bad luck with Amazon.  None with eBay...

This is the first problem I've ever had with a Ebay purchase besides being late. We have prime at my house and the only problem besides a broken jar of some off the wall jelly was they sent my wife a bunch of pregnancy tests instead of this 
The wife didn't even open the box to see if they sent her the right stuff until the 30 return time had run out. My wife is 63 years old!!! Ain't gonna be no mo babies!! lol

Shipping is free and sure. Most of the YH listings I have seen on Ebay recently seem almost as shady as the $57 one. No chances.

The way I see it, they both have good and bad qualities..
Although I will say... both scams on the YH compressors I've seen were from eBay.
My biggest complaint with Amazon is poor packing and missed ship dates. Some early but most late.
Heck, I've even had bad experiences with Walmart for that matter.
I can't imagine how many transactions all of them do on a daily basis.
All the signs were there for this to be a scam and I chose to take the gamble knowing I would get my money back... one way or the other. eBay made that as easy as possible for me. And I feel pretty good that we all took a scammer down so others don't fall into their scam and not know what to do about it.

I wonder if this may be the same jamoke that did the YH scam before... Maybe he laid low with a different account, built up his status and went for round 2.

The GREAT thing about Ebay, Amazon or Walmart - each will make things right. There really wasn't much of a gamble. Just a few days wait.

I opened a case of "item not received" two days after the stated delivery date. Sent seller a polite message asking for a status update. Ebay asked me to wait until 7/2 before taking any further action.

Ebay sent me a message today 7/1 that the "seller" had contacted them and that caused them to immediately review my case status. Short time later ebay gave me a complete refund because they could not find any "valid" tracking data. They didn't wait until 7/2. So this TGTBT item is put to rest.

Now I have to wait a week to take action on a TGTBT $30 MIG Welder I ordered that will most likely be vaporware also. Not really concerned. Ebay/Paypal customer support has not failed me...yet.
