Mingyang Zhang in chinese must be kinda like John Smith in American. Because if you do a google search on the name you come up with lots of results.

My first thought on this was that they should have been more aggressive on filtering out scammers. But, there were no early warning signs. As soon as things went south, they were all over it.

I agree with you on how they handled it. I am still jaded about dealing with sellers on eBay. This was my first time. Yep, I was an eBay virgin.

However, I actually think this probably goes on a lot. Scammer establishes an account and sells "junk" really cheap for a while, maybe a year or more. They build up a good "ratings" score and then start dropping the bombs like the YH and other stuff. If you noticed, this seller only started "selling" stuff in the $40-$100 range about the same time that we fell for the YH compressor scam.

I also think it is not just one person, but a group. If you think about it for a little while it all makes sense.

Anyway, if I ever buy from eBay again, it will be with LONG established sellers. Until then... if ever, I will continue as I have before this debacle.

Well USPS tracking now says mine is at its "regional destination" of Salt Lake City, Utah, whatever that means. I am starting to think nobodys gonna see what was actually shipped.LOL Sounds like another no-bay day to me. Cave

Just contacted Ebay, refund in route. The lowlife (s) is/are no longer registered as a user. 129 negatives now.

Kinda sorta I guess, when I told them it didn't show up and I wanted a refund they sent me down a different trail from everybody else whos also didn't show up. Guess I just don't know how to complain properly, I got a feeling they are gonna teach me on 7/2!!!! Ah so grasshopper LOL

Ebay notified me that my compressor had been delivered, NOT!!!! Will check Monday and I bet there won't be anything still so the 2nd works out just fine for me.

Bill has the right idea keep track of the entire transaction from start to finish. After catching up this morning it occured to me that 4.4lbs of imported pharmaceuticals times however many total purchases could represent a significant amount of cash to the point of origin. Another thing to consider to, the old street scam known as 3 card Monty. The scammer flips the cards around and adds a little sleight of hand and the dealer walks with a lot of cash. Just speculating, fake tracking information and all seems to be extremely elaborate a scam fot $5,000 or so

I just got an email from eBay saying they're refunding my money. They said allow up to 48 hours so we'll see. Supposedly something got delivered to the post office so I guess I'll have to check it out today
