57.00 YH compressor, How many here in the water?

True, the seller had great reviews for a couple years... that just tells me his account was hacked.
He was 99% positive with 2 negatives over his whole time with eBay when I ordered my compressor. Anyone can give a negative feedback for whatever reason.... there are scam buyers as well as scam sellers.

The girl I talked to did say that they thought his account "may have been compromised".

I am not so sure.   What better way to run this type of scam than to sell small, cheap items for a long enough time to get a good rating and then do the scam.   And I think he had more than just one account under different names.   No, I can't prove that, but if you think about it, it makes sense.

Well, I just got a email saying that the compressor has been delivered, right addy but it ain't nowhere to be seen. I can't see the PO where I get my mail accepting it due to the weight so I'll see tomorrow.

Same here, email says it was delivered to correct address. It was NOT since I was AT that address near Rochester NY at that time. The actual tracking number details say it was delivered to Sacramento CA. Just a little off (2628 miles off!). Have to wait until 7/2 to take dispute to next level and ask for a refund.

Call eBay and they will take care of your refund.   You need to go to the main eBay page and go to the bottom and click "contact us".   You will be presented with a selection of choices about why you are contacting them and eventually, you will be presented with a 7 digit code and a phone number.

Call the number and follow the prompts.

I already got my refund and I am sure you will too.   They were very nice and quick about it, so be nice too!

Wow! My "package" came into the USA at SAN JOSE , CA.

And has now arrived at ANCHORAGE , AK.

That is a mere 4,282 miles off from my home in upstate NY.

At this point, having already received my refund, I am hoping to help those who are just realizing they have been scammed.   Not everyone knows it yet and I think there will be more who show up on this thread or one of the others on GTA talking about it looking for help/answers.

My MKII is my stationary tank filler.
My Vevor is my 'at the bench' and 'road trip' gun filler.
The $57 compressor was to be plan 'C'. Nothing more.

Seriously, for the simplicity of the Shoebox I would love to own one.   However, $500 is pretty steep when I can buy a "decent" hand pump for ~$50.

Not to mention it "needs" another compressor to even work.   And not just ANY compressor...

I watched the first scam on the YH compressor from the sidelines. I had a feeling this was the same TGTBT deal but, I knew I could get my money back so I took the $57 gamble. As soon as the signs began to confirm my suspicions I began the process of collecting my evidence. If eBay had not stepped up like they did, I was going to take my evidence to my bank.
BTW... kudos to eBay and their CS reps. They put one in the pro column for me.
My first thought on this was that they should have been more aggressive on filtering out scammers. But, there were no early warning signs. As soon as things went south, they were all over it.
