The Snapper grounds cruiser is at the local small engine shop for its yearly tune-up.  It’s betting harder and harder to find parts for it and I’m looking for a junked Gator to donate it’s front end.  With a little bodging it will work.  The big drum brake on the back is unobtainable and when it goes I guess I’ll just drag my feet like Fred Flintstone.

When I first started at Ochlockonee River SP we had a six wheel Gator with a 110 gallon fire fighting slide in.  The six wheels gave it the floatation we needed to carry the heavy water tank through the flatwoods bogs. Empty it was a bone Shaker!  You can drift a four wheel Gator but the six wheelers resist drifting.

I’ve got all four wheels off the ground with a four wheeled Gator jumping moguls on the beach.  Never managed it with the six wheeler.

Bill they should've made how you're doing. I had to get front n rear tow hooks made for my mowers too so I can haul the dump cart or hookup ez with chains when I need to pull em with the tractor for repairs. Yep some hog hunters mount rifles on their utvs to shoot hogs on the go. I've seen them with automatics filling hogs full of holes.

Took a ride out to Sheriff West's barn and found the perfect plate for remounting the winch. All I gotta do is drill a few holes and mount it on. I was gonna weld it but I'd rather be able to take it off if I want. I got some high strength bolts.
EzPz... Back in the shop goes the Gator.

I spent several hours gardening.  Everything needed fertilizing and the watering system needed to be reconfigured.  I compounded three different blends of fertilizer and soil amendments to suit the different vegetables we grow.  I top dressed four raised beds with mushroom compost and planted cantaloupe and watermelon seedlings. Tomorrow I’ll top dress four more beds and plant peas.

Betty Lou's mamma's house is under contract to be sold. This has been a source of drama and hopefully the final sale will bring an end to that and provide her some closure.
It's a simple matter of just do what you say you are going to do. I've chosen to remain on the outside of that particular circle.

I took the memsahib in to town today for an MRI.  We didn’t want the whole day to be wasted so we went to two art supply stores, the optometrist, the cheap gas station, Lowe’s, Harbor Freight, and a liquor store (My supply of Courvoisier Cognac was running low).  We stopped at an excellent Indian restaurant for lunch.  La Esposa got her new eyeglasses and I bought twenty dollars worth of color pencils
