I needed to fill in some pot holes in my driveway, as I went to get my shovel and noticed that they had developed some rust. I had stored my yard tools in a drop shed behind my shop won'tdo that again.. I sanded the rust off with a 4 1/2" grinder with a flex sanding disc. I sanded the handles with my palm sander and painted them with Hunter Green paint left over from another project.
I found and old metal typewriter table at the dumpster that someone had disposed of that was in need of some TLC. I had a couple of cans of semi gloss black paint and bang, nailed it, plant stand.

Took my Great Grand son, 5 years old, to the barber shop. He had only been once before. What a show, he did NOT like it!

Wash, dried, and folded 3 loads of laundry; picked and cleaned radishes, pulled weeds in the garden. Went to the local Farmers Market, then took a casserole my wife made to church for an after funeral meal. Sat on my butt and read a book for the rest of the day.

Sealed up some leaks in my little fishing boat. Mowed what was left of the grass. Went for a recon ride on the 4wheeler.

Yesterday I finished painting my long handled tools.
I have them lined up along the fence for inspection (actually for 48 hour paint curing/hardening ).

Painted my BBQ grill this morning. Put casters on it last night. I copied the grill design from one I saw at one of our state parks. Then for Christmas one year my son added the expanded metal wrap-around. I don't know how much it weighs but it's heavy.

Tore down the 331 ci Chevrolet engine I built decades ago - 364,000 miles. It had been sitting on an engine stand for 3 years, and seemed like a good thing to get down. Looks pretty good inside.

LOL, One pointed shovel is mine, one was my father's, one was my father-in-law's. The spade was my mother's (no one was allowed to touch her "shovel"). The two sledge hammers were my father's. One of the rakes belonged to my step-mom other one was mine. Rest are mine. Yes that grill is built to last, it is made out of 3/16" plate. That grill is about 15 years old.

I picked plums, mowed, used weed eater. got too hot, the other half fixed a great lunch, and the I passed out from exhaustion. Then watched a storm blow thru with 2" rain. what could be better?

Changed the oil in my car and noticed some damage the shop did to my rim and rocker panel yesterday.

I was graced with a beautiful piece of pecan with more of the tree coming this week. Spent most of yesterday getting the bark off so I could mill it into workable pieces and not have the bugs make a home in it either. I am trying to get back into my wood working hobby, with all the free downed wood why not. Today was burn up what was piled up from storm damage. Managed to get a widow maker down without getting killed in the process. Trying to get the yard somewhat safe to mow without worrying about something else coming down and making mess.

I did what I seem to be doing more and more often on a Monday... boarding a plane and flying somewhere for work. This time, staying in one place (a rarity)... New Orleans.

I will admit it is nice seeing somebody with more shovels than me. Back in the day I used to be into BMX dirt-jumping; I accrued a nice collection of shovels and spades to build the berms and jumps (it was easy convincing friends tp pitch in since alcohol and cooking out was frequently involved)... Got rid of a number but still have a selection. As much as I want to pare down, it never hurts to have 2 or 3 of something- meaning of each type of shovel or spade. Of course, I'm saying this to a bunch of airgun ~~hoarders~~ ~~fanatics~~ hobby-collectors.

To me, the more tools means more work. If I find myself with 2 shovels I'll dig a hole with one and bury the other....

If I amass a collection... I prefer it be airgun related.

Yes it is getting hard for me to justify buying more airguns when my wife lovingly asks, "You must not like the ones you have because you want another one." Or this question she asked just the other day, "Don't you have one you've haven't shot? Don't you think you have enough guns?"
She got me on those two.
And when she saw the "shovel collection" she asked me, "Do you think you have enough shovels?" I made the mistake of answering, "Yep!"

Worked on my Schwinn S500 E scooter today.
A few days ago the new batteries and wiring harness came in, and have been working on making a mini cart to tow behind it the past few days.
Made a prototype and tested it a couple days then made what I think may be the final result today but will have to test it another couple days.
