We got home around noon. Doc says surgery went well.
She's still a little groggy but clearing up and we won't be able to look at it until Friday when she can remove the gauze and take a shower.

Had all he|| with installing a new ac. Never had that much hassle before but finally got it done. Got some online buying done including two outside battery fans which will be very nice not having to plug them in on the back patio which is a PITA due to grills obstructing plugs and also plug covers making it hard to plug in fans. Now for a lot more weed eating and some more trim work to keep birds from making a mess on my porch roof with muddy debris they bring from the creek. Shot a pair of those little bastages so no more messes from them anymore good riddance but more will be back in the future. Once trim is in place I won't have to kill anymore of them.

Scott glad it went well and hopefully that will be the last of it.

Sitting in the VA parking lot for my 1230 appointment with my primary doctor. It's my once a year see her. So now I have 3 doctors and a NP taking care of me.🤣😂🤣😂. I guess having avoided doctors like the plague all of my life I have to make up for it.😕😕

Had to reattach the top of the vinyl roll up door on the gator side of the lean to garage. Then I moved some wood back inside to the zturn side. Had moved it to make room for the gator on the other side. It takes more room than the atv did. Took a slow cruise down around the church pond on the gator.
We did go to Troy this morning to do our monthly bulk grocery run. Got back before noon.
Next I'll grab a power nap in the recliner before I head outside to see what else I can get in to.

Bill the gator rides good with no fixes needed? Saw one like yours today by the road where someone was doing fence repair. Looked nice. I need to look for a utv but haven't had the time. My busiest time of year.

Oh yeah, runs great. Like I said.. the guy I got it from buys them up, does any repairs and services them and resells them. He's got several in all phases of repair around his place. These are all he deals with.
I was able to find the year and model from the serial number. It's a 1999 4X2 TX Trail. It has 3000 hours on it and it's not uncommon to get 9000+ hours on them before needing anything major. He told me that anything that might happen just bring it to him to fix.
We love this thing... just what we wanted to slow down our trail rides from the atvs. Now we sit side by side instead of one of us following the other. I've out grown trying to see how deep and how high I can go.

Sounds good Bill. Speakjng of hours I was told mower engines were only made to last around 800hrs but mine is going good at over 1000hrs. I'm sure mowers are different than utvs though in longevity and I know older mowers tend to last longer than the new ones.

 I got 2300 out of a John Deere Kohler that we bout 20 years ago. I did have to put 4 fuel pumps on it and replaced the deck once.

That's great if that's all you had to do in all that time congrats Dan! I've got around 1300hrs on my other mower but it's Honda engine had to be replaced around 800hrs. I cleaned the filter according to manual but as dusty as my yard is it wasn't often enough so now I clean filter at least once a week where I'll get more hours out of this one.

Loaded up the Gator and went out to Charles West's farm to do a little early morning dirt road cruisin'. I reckon I missed the "Turtle Crossing" sign and had to stop for this guy. He turned his head to look at me once then went on about his way.
After that I came home and mowed at the barn.

I like those Gators, Bill.  Sonja and I have mulled getting one a few times.  All our neighbors (all 3 of them) have UTVs or similar, and we see a lot of UTVs around here in general, ranging from the simple Kubota the crazy vegan yurt-girl (she lives in a yurt) has on to the "Barbie's Dream GolfCart" 3-row leather-with-black-piping-and-gold-trim one of the sort-of-neighbors owns; her son-in-law was our general contractor and apparently they spent some Big Money (more than $50k) on that glorified golf cart.  Fools and their money...

I actually consider our CR-V as our side-by-side.  AC, heat, AWD, hitch, legal to drive on any road, and best of all, it was dirt cheap.  I figure the engine may not outlast the heat death of the universe but those K-series Honda engines do hold up.  Still, a Gator or similar would be handy for some of the work we do in the woods.

Doing "Hoosier Momma"... got her settled with food and drink..  Met the liquor delivery guys at the Lodge at 08:00... went on  an hour drive to Goshen for her new compression wrap.
 Came home and changed her dressing.
Next comes dinner of her request.

My husband diligently sprays herbicide or germination preventative on noxious weeds. We both hand-pull or cut but I don't do the backpack sprayer.

I sat in the ranger station today and did figure drawing exercises.  For two months after shoulder surgery I’ve been unable to draw.  The last week I’ve been in the ranger station with some busy times and some slow times.  During the slow times I draw.  I have to practice constantly if I’m going to Keep my eye to hand coordination.  I’m trying to fill two pages in a sketch pad with thumbnails every day.  Right now I hate everything while I’m drawing it and I can’t stand to see it afterward but in a week or so I’ll get my mojo on and things will pick up from there.

This week it’s been human figures and negative space exercises.  Tomorrow I start land scapes and perspective.

Planning a painting I’m going to call “Still life with Alligator”.
