Had a fun couple hours today when I got the chance to visit GTA member bReTt at his home range.

I shot my Crosman1322 carbine, my Diana Chaser, and his Daisy 953 which he let me take home to practice with to help me decide if I want to get an 853 from the Civilian Marksmanship Program.

All in all a really nice afternoon on a perfect fall day in Washington State.

One of the cats alerted me of a flock of sparrows eating the gravel out of the driveway, they did not seem to mind a cat watching them through a storm door and making racket about it, but when they saw me they all flew off

Well I loaded up the PP 750 .22 and headed outside anyhow, within a few minuets it started to rain so I took cover in the open garage and did some plinking, then caught sight of a chipmunk running for cover under the kids car, was way too twitchy to get a shot off then lost track of him, as the sun came out and I saw the HOSP starting to move around the neighborhood again, never had any get in range again so as it began to rain again I headed to the basement range and shot a few over the crony, and did some plinking with it and refilled for next time.
Having so much fun with this gun I can not seem to find the 1/2 hour that it would take to turn up the power as of yet even.

Today was all about which rifle would accompany me on the opener for squirrel season on Oct. 1st.
Between my “main” 880, 397, and Winchester 1977xs, the Winchester with thumbhole stock won the offhand shootout from 5 to 25 yds. Something about that stock just fits me for field type shooting, so it’s up for the first hunt this year!

Couldn’t help myself, just before dark. After I mounted the new LDCs from Geo, I shot the Terrus about a half dozen shots and the QB78D about a dozen out the back door hitting tin cans on my fence posts about 30 meters, standing supported on the door frame. If I didn’t have to leave for work so early tomorrow, I’d shoot some more in the morning. It’ll have to wait.

I still had some gas in the XS60c from the last shooting session so I took it with me when I walked the dogs today. I had to wear my Wellies since we've had so much rain. I slogged around the pasture keeping a sharp eye out for Rattlers. The high water pushes them up onto dryer ground. No Crotalus and no Agkistrodons either. A walk without spotting a snake is a rarity here. I plinked some around the scrap piles and went back to the house. I then broke out my Hatsan Striker and practiced at 25 yards for a while.

Weather was cool so my shooting was in the basement. 30 shots with the 2400KT from 30 feet and they went into one hole about 30 caliber. But what I was most happy about was the performance of the Geo supplied LDC. That gun made less noise then my Red Ryder. A "click" and then the pop of the pellet hitting the target. I'll be able to knock off the cussed chipmunks that got under my deck and drive the dog loony. And the neighbors will never know.

I finished putting the trigger group back together on my Hatsan 125 and then I re-mounted the scope. After a little fiddling with the scope I got her zeroed and started stacking them (off a rest) at 25 yards. I'm very happy with the new trigger and this gun is achieving accuracy levels with H&N Sniper Magnums that I would not have believed were possible six months ago. I've acquired four really accurate air rifles in the last nine months. This hunting season is going to be a whole new ball game.

FX Royale 400 on low power 18 yards into the pellet trap in the shop. I was seated on a bench using Trigger sticks tripod to support the rifle. And to think I had listed this gun for sale. Good thing I came to my senses and changed the listing to no longer available. I may have sold it!!!

It’s always good to have you over Andrew! Take your time with the Daisy, I am in no hurry to get it back. It’s a great low and slow shooter. I love shooting into my shop sitting under the carport using the Daisy. It’s a perfect 18 yard sniper!

Took the Kratos out last night. On the second fill of it's bottle I had to put a battery in the scope to use the illuminated reticle.
After three fills it got too dark to shoot.
MAN with almost 500cc of air per fill and 12 shot mags this gun eats a LOT pellets!!!

Yup it is pumpkin season

Shooting them is much more fun than hauling them out of the fields and putting them on display for purchase, as I have been doing at work

My little shooting partner did shoot some with me on Saturday. Not as much as I’d have liked to, but we had other stuff on the agenda for the weekend again. She shot her M4-177 and I shot my QB78D with the Geo LDC at 15 meters. I was greatly impressed with her focus on the 12 spot target. We took turns shooting just one row of 3 spots at a time. Just keeping a 7 year old from losing her place and one shot per spot (2 perfect bulls to boot!) was awesome to me. I did adjust her sight a little. My target has multiple hits, I was dialing in CPD 10.5 gr., I usually shoot CPHP or boxed CPD 7.9 gr. I shot a little more on a Sunday, when I had opportunity, with the 10.5 gr. & H&N Barracuda Match, 10.65 gr. out to 20-30 meters. Now I’m thinking of a power upgrade on the QB78D and testing more pellets- Crosman, JSB, AA & H&N: 7.9, 8.4, 9.57, 10.5 & 10.65 gr.

we grow our own. this one was starting to rot so I thought that I would have a bit of fun with it. you can see where its starting to cave on the left side. it was a great reason to shoot
