I no longer have any AG pistols and I am not sure I could hit anything with one today. Although...When I was younger I did knock my share of carpenter bees out of the air. Crosman 1377 listed below... That was a long time ago. (grin)

I have watched those bee's attack other insects before. I don't know if they eat them or not but it is fun watching them.

They aren't called "carpenter bees" for nothing.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpenter_bee
Shot a squirrel in my yard with the NSA 33.5gr 25 cal out of my Armada. They worked good.

Zeroed the .357 with Nicks fine bullets today. It's zeroed to 20 yards for a very specific reason. Not gonna talk about that.I do know this. I won't be shooting the fire ring at 20 yards again!
Well, my blasted allergies have ruined a perfectly good day off, today. But, I went outside to see if there was any squirrel activity--yep, sighted one in a tree (with the tree behind it) and shot it with my newly acquired Hammerli 850--right in the fuse box. Squirrel just ... dropped. I'm certainly pleased; it was a little long of a shot (for a CO2 air gun (actually for a new owner of a CO2 AG)), about 28 yards. Loving the fact that you folks have reinforced the value of a well-place shot. I'm just amazed that I don't need all that power or high FPS to accomplish such a task. I don't know about all Hammerli's, but the used one I purchased (THANKS, PAUL) is fantastic.Archie

Thanks, Buddy.I'm amazed by what I'm learning. Instead of moving up to higher powered platforms, I'm enjoying the benefit of the lessor powered ones. I guess this does attest to the fact that lowered powered AGs can be just as effect (at appropriate ranges) as the higher powered ones. Now, this does not mean that I'm ready to give up shooting my Weihrauchs!Really having fun,Archie
