Took two of my CO2s out for spin this afternoon--Hammerli 850 and Crosman 2400KT. These pistols are just superb. The Crosman has a Williams peep sight (my first), and I'm loving it. The Hammerli ATM has open sights; but, I've got a spare scope (wonder how that happened in the midst of all you enablers...ha

) and can't wait to scope it, sight it, and shoot it at distance. My older eyes are not what they used to be.

Having so much fun--but frustrated that I have to buy new "stuff" to feel like I'm having fun...

Calm before the storm....
Brought out my pawn shop BAM XS-12B with iron sights to try and get some practice in before the Grand-Daughter's visit and she brings out her MM tuned and G-pa scoped Xisico XS-12.
I think she'll beat me... again.

If so anything further than 5M and you are simply amazing at pistol whipping.

Every time I get here it's too early in the morning to shoot (before dawn) so I'll tell you what I am going to shoot today:

The Blue and the Silver HW35E.

Yeah you guessed it. My right elbow feels like tennis elbow now since I can't put down a 35E once I fire it. If I miss I say right away, "Let's do that again!"

Yes the 35 E is giving me too much fun and......

Have you ever had a rifle you CAN'T put down at the risk of injuring yourself through too much quick "Let's do that again!" fire?

I am thinking of shooting my other rifles just to break away from the HW35Es but I can't pick up anything else with the "lets do that again" feeling!

Weekend update here, spent it shooting the new 1022 ruger CO2 air rifle, and the Wildfire, the Ruger needs a scope mount and then it is much better than Wildfire, I was getting 600 fps with 9.5 gr pellets with 1022, and barely reaching 500 fps with the Wildfire.
During breaks I honed my pistol skills with the Webley Nemesis

Hammerli 850 Magnum got it's first kill today: eradicated a tree rat at approx 26 yards. SWEET!!!!

I had a great series of practice shooting today. Shot about 100 pellets (tried various ones) in the Hammerli: it is a superb shooting CO2 rifle. Amazingly, it really likes the CPHP 7.9, but shoots about everything else I've got well enough, too.

Shot about 25 pellets in my 1377 with shoulder stock. Pumping makes me sweat in this Gulfcoast humidity.

Shot my Crosman Nitro Venom Dusk. It definitely demands the most care in hold and follow through, as well becoming even more pellet picky (loves the H&N 8.65). Still, a powerful (975 fps) little break barrel.

Shot my HW95. It and the HW97 still rule the roost; but the repeating Hammerli 850 is so simple--bolt action, eight-shot repeater. What's not to like.

The tree rats were are 25 and ~35-40 yards, both head shots and both DRT. No twitching. They just dropped. One was in one ear and out? the other.

The chipmunk was 25 yards and also a head shot.

It is good to be hitting what I aim at again! I hope it lasts... (grin)

No, and I am not sure he is still coming around. If he is, he is hiding behind the garage and never comes out into my "kill/safe" zones where I can shoot. I also think he has seen the others get taken out. He is one very smart tree rat, but his time will come. I cleared away some of the lower branches of the oak tree behind the garage and now I can see where a lot of tree rats have liked to sit in the past and I can safely shoot them there. It is just a matter of time before he decides to take a seat there.

I was just happy to be able to hit something other than the golf balls I use for quick checking zero! I know the problem has been me because I can miss a rodent and immediately shoot at the golf balls (25 yards/zero distance) and hit them with NO problem, dead center! I think it may be like in golf... follow through is important!

Also, with the rodents, I don't take my time like I do/can with the golf balls... (sigh)

Lol, if I don’t quit reading your posts on the 35E, your going to talk me right into one.

I took a hard look on one at the Krale site last night.
I’m on the track of a really good springer and the 35E is looking good.

Meanwhile I shot the 880 down the hall at 20 yds. With Daisy wadcutters into some very tight groups.

Here's my first 25 shots for the day, they're with my Crosman 150 but when I head for the woods I'' be bringing my Xisico Sentry .25 to the woods again this morning cause yesterday I did scope adjusting mainly today I'll be more into hunting red squirrels, once in a great while when I'm hunting red squirrels I'll see a Ghog too.

Thanks, I needed a frame of reference. I no longer have any AG pistols and I am not sure I could hit anything with one today. Although...

When I was younger I did knock my share of carpenter bees out of the air. Crosman 1377 listed below... That was a long time ago. (grin)
