Picked up a Beeman p17 today and have been plinking with it.
This is definitely not a gun I want to be shooting for hours at a time, it sure is rough on the hands to operate this pistol.
Maybe wearing some fingerless gloves will solve this.

I wear my left hand mechanics glove for these P17 sessions. Works just fine, and I can still get a solid 2 handed grip on the pistol.

I have medium sized hands, and the size and contours of the P17's fits my hands extremely well and comfortably.

Personally never bothered me. Probably due to the fact that it fits my hand so well. I do have the slippage issue with some pistol grips, and I just put a couple of coats of Plasti-Dip on it or just wear gloves.

Concerning the dovetail sharp edges, scrubing them slightly  with the rough side of a sponge used for dishwashings is really efficient, too.

To forget those poor jokes and go back to this thread's topic I sent a few pellets to a paper target with my P17. I won't show that (so it won't exist, he he ) but what a consistent pleasure -I mean shooting the P17, no missing the bullseye 4 times upon 10

My PP700 sandbagged at 50’.   .5” and under groups  . And found out it loves my JSB Exact Diabolos.

Also my 2400KT. But the was offhand at 10m so the groups were more like 2”.   But I shake like a leaf today.

Shot the monster, me so happy. It didn't take long for me to settle down and get serious with this gun. The target is at 35yds and the pellets are from the NOE .30 mold, they are the 46gr casts. I am shooting off a hunting bipod.  The top target is the beginning of the session, the bottom one was then end of the session. There are 5 shots per group, some one holed a few times. This gun is not backyard friendly but it's not loud enough to wear ear plugs. This gun is way better than the carnivore. There was so much trouble with carnivore from the start. Only time will tell with the Hercules.

 Got home a little early from work, so took the Dragonfly .22 out for a little sun and Air, finished sighting in the optiminus 3-9 x 32 scope I tossed on to confirm that the cheap walther? Chinese bug buster took a dump on a pumper 
 All better now sorta at least I hit where I aim every time, just hard to see where I'm aiming sometimes.
P.S. I took the mounts off the broke scope and am using it for a compact spotting scope It is a nice clear 6x telescope, I was watching turkeys with it today at work  Maybe a pistol grip and I can put it in a holster

I shot my PP700SA (Art) today also.  Mine likes the JSB 7.3 grains best.  It doesn’t shoot much else very well.  I still have a few to test but the 7.3 are on top so far.

Probably shot about $150. Made a trip to Troy after work for smoking supplies and a stop at KFC. Got home in time and decided to start the mowing so I would have more air gun time tomorrow. Mower began to sound funny. Next thing I knew, I wasn't cutting anything at all.
So, It's a trip to the dealer tomorrow for new belt and blades. I'll get them to do an oil change as well while Betty Lou and I do some grocery shopping. Seems like everytime I get a little money in the kitty something happens.
