So.....what did you shoot today?

After I finished laying out 10 yards of black dirt in my yard today I shot my "new to me"  25cal. Hatsan 125 TH Spring Piston rifle today at around 6:30 PM.    I bought this gun, out of the GTA Classifieds from cherokeesteve.  He is a great guy to deal with.  So far I am really liking this gun.  I placed a Birchwood Casey 44 Mag spinner out at about 50 yards and took some shots with 25 Cal.  Benjamin 27.8Gr. Domed pellets.   All shots were from standing position. Some were taken with the rifle supported in the V formed between my thumb and fingers with the palm on my outstretched arm braced on a door frame.  Some shots were taken off-hand and unsupported.

Thank's Archie for your reply.    It is a high powered spring rifle ..but shooting break barrels is what I do. 
I got a lucky break on a great rifle with this one.   Much thanks to cherokeesteve for that.
The picture makes me look like I am shooting better than I really am.  I took maybe 50 to 60 shots ..all in all.
There is not that many hits on center. The rest were flying all around the spinner with some hitting the tree.

First couple of hundreds shots taken with the Kral-07 .22, But not a couple of hundreds of pleasant shot… First i shot at 15 meters to get pellets trough her and see what she likes, crosman pellets didn´t even fit, too tight, H/n the same, so jsb 15.89 and jsb 18.13 was the only pellets left and they fit very snug, but at only 15 meters i could barely hit the target, they all went to high with the open sights turned all the way down... so i mounted a reddot the RD30 type at the weaver rail, and got them on target atleast and after some time pretty tight groups with both so i shot with the 15.89, then the groups suddenly got higher and higher and opened up a bit, but thought since the gun is new and needs to break in, but after some more shots and i had to adjust all the time i cleaned the barrel, very dirty, and then continued shooting but the same thing happened, now at 30 meters, shots went higher and higher… then i realized the reddot sight was creeping….removed it and shot opensighted at 30 meters, didn´t even hit the target… all shots went above… so this gun can´t be used below 40 meters with the opensight and i need heavier pellets than 18 gr, and i don´t want to put a scope on her cause of the harsh recoil… Not my best buy if i say so... But it has some serius punch, around 20 ft/lbs

after hunting easter eggs and a HUGE brunch, the son-in-law, grandsons and myself broke out the BB guns and killed about 50 water filled dixie cups, some metal silhouettes, wine corks, and 1" army men.


we even chronied the Daisy Bucks (250FPS), R.R. (250FPS), and my son-in-laws Crosman 2100 (710FPS)


my daughters decided they wanted in on the fun so i handed over my RR to them and i brought out the HW30s.


we were shooting from a measured 10 yards out and i was challenged to hit all the army men off hand.  i went 10 for 10 and felt "dang" good about it!


our middle daughter will be 37 next month and she asked for a RR, asking if it would be enough to take down "one of those annoying birds with the speckles on their breast".  i told her she would need something with more power, she replied "then get me that".


you have to love it when it suddenly becomes apparent you raised them right!

First the HW50 .177.
Then the HW50 .22.
Then the R7, the HW57, and the HW80 is already on the table out of the cabinet for more! If I get through it I'll shoot the Eliminator .25 last.

All guns are able to shoot down my Field Targets @27 yards (I got the Field Targets from a Crossman P1322 Pistol/Rifle Kit--I shoot them whenever I can and knock them back up again with a top target that swings the shot ones below into position again).

My Motorhead tuned (ARH full power kit/Apex seal) 34p .177 @ a garden raiding pest trying to eat my hollyhocks that are just coming up. 1 less garden raiding pest.

 Been shooting Peeps Easter Bunnies with the Firefly.22 and my 1400 on and off all weekend. Then the open sight 1400  was out shooting the firefly that was scoped, so on th the sight in grid target , hmm wandering scope zero, I took it off and tossed on a duplex sc(+)pe and so far holding zero'
 P.S. Many marshmallow bunnies were harmed to give you this story.

Sunny sky's, a light breeze, and about 65 degrees here yesterday.
 So I shot the HW98, then my 1701P, even emptied a Co2 cart on my 1740 carbine

Went down back behind the garden, the ground slopes away steep into a vacant meadow. Off in the distance,(cranked the 3-9 x 32 CP all the way to 9) I could see a plastic root beer bottle. Made some long distance calls with my 1322 pumped 12 times, nailed it every time!!

Trying to enjoy time with the Sam Yang if work would stop calling. I even had to drive over there once. Finally had to tell them that I would gladly stay if they wanted to give my vacation day back to me. Evidently they understand English when they want to.
