Yesterday and today back to narrowing down the favorite pellet for my Hatsan Edge .177, shooting at 20, 25, & 30 yards.
Yesterday's results supprised me in that the winner was H&N Sports Baracuda 4.50" - 10.65 gr.
Consistent 1.21" - 1.25" groups at 25 yards.
I'm still new at this, what is a good tight group for a .177 break barrel at 25 yards? P(With an economy rifle.)

Shot my Remington 1911 RAC BB pistol. Man, that gun held the CO2 for nearly 3 weeks without losing any pressure; so, I had some fun plinking this morning (took a vacation day today). Also, shot my Crosman Venom .177, but my main fun was messing around with my Colt single action revolver. Just superb.

All of them one by one until I saved the best for last....my HW35 E stainless.
The rest of them were fine until I started getting frustrated (again) using any scopes. I think if I just take off the scope to the FWB Sport I'll have an "equal" air rifle to the HW 35 E. I'll try more shots in succession with each until I decide to remove that Burris scope, but then the 10X shows me why I'm missing.

So far the HW 35 E remains the consistent shooter!

Yep, raining still here too. Wife had to work at the Golf Course and they actually CLOSED.
The rain gauge there said 5" of rain today alone.

I think that we have already exceeded our quote for June if this keeps up I may put in for webbed feet

Missed the same squirrel twice with the new .177 marauder so I decided to get out my 22 caliber and backed off a bit and found him hiding in a tree. Didn't miss that time.

Shot rather silently at 20 yds again. The CO₂ smokes out the front for the first several shots. I had to test it out again to make sure. I helped a 3yr old shoot it (I helped steady it on a sand bag and aimed). It was dinging them one after one after it was dialed in for elevation and no windage. Its a straight shooter.
This thing is accurate but I did get one BB stuck in the moderator somehow.

I had only once chance today at the squirrel I have missed so often I won't tell you how lucky he is!

Anyway, I went outside to smoke and he was just sitting there...

By the time I went back inside and got all of the storm window taken out and opened the window...

You guessed it... he was gone. I knew I should have left the storm window stuff off, but last night/this morning there was a strong chance of strong thunder storms.

This squirrel will eventually be a "lead head"... just a matter of time.

I’ve been gravitating to PCPs lately. Figured I needed a workout 🏋️‍♀️ in the shooting dept. tonight was spring gun night. I grabbed the HWR95.177 and the HW97K. I had been plagued with some inconsistencies with the 95. Swapped to a different pellet and problem disappeared. I guess the inconsistency was the ammo not the gun? Weird. After the ammo change it was spot on. HW97K is ALWAYS spot on. I love these rifles!

Shot the 2260 and 2400KT. They are both very accurate and soooo quiet.

I was posting replies here and decided to go outside for a smoke.

I had not seen ANYTHING for targets in about 3 days or so.

As soon as I stepped out, I saw a Chipmunk hustle out of one of the drain gutter down-spouts coming off of my garage.

Needless to say, the stalking vigil is ON!

Well, one of the neighborhood cats (fixed female) came out and made the stalk useless. She is a pretty long hair solid grey female. She is also one of the cats that removes the rodents when I dispatch them, so I am very soft towards her. She was begging a little, so I did give her some dry cat food.

Maybe later today, I'll have another chance at this "new" chipper".

BTW, I did try to take a pick of her, but I was using a camera that I am not used to, so I never could snap a pic. (heavy sigh)

Thanks Wendell... that's my back yard.
35 yards from the table to the backstop with the Pop-cans and Gongs.
I can do 50y if I turn 90 degrees and 100y if I am on the other side of the house sitting on the deck.
One of the benefits of living in the country.

Shooting the Genesis now... with the HW98 "on deck".

This is odd Jorgen. This rifle has always shot the Air Arms 8.4 pellets the best. For years. It all of a sudden started throwing pellets out, mostly verticle stringing. I ended up replacing the piston seal, breech seal and doing a cleanup and reseal. I had tried swapping to a new tin of pellets. All the pellets were bought at the same time and place (I believe but not 100% sure on that one). I had also swapped out to a different scope. Tried everything pretty much with a little improvement but never as reliably accurate as it had been. I was bummed. Anyway, I was shooting it last night and making adjustments to the scope to bring it to zero at 25 yards. I was seeing some good shots but then others being off. Finally I just bagged the AA 8.4s and threw some Falcons through it. Wow, what a difference. All of the pellets started touching and making that well used phrase “one ragged hole”. I shot those for the rest of the time with that gun.

So, I went from Air Arms 8.4 to the Falcon 7.3 pellets with good results.
