Honestly...

I have my shorty shooting at 865 fps and I think the factory shroud does a fine job.... if I turn it down to factory settings... 820 fps with 18.1s. It's freakin quiet

Reading the Talon forum ... Appears the standard is @ +/- 220 cc's IIRC ... tho don't quote me.
With an efficiency at mid power settings in 1.8 / 1.9 range you get plenty of shots.
Been getting 5 mags ( 60 shots ) on a fill of @ 220bar, at a full 250 bar fill another mag or more would be reasonable. ( this at just sub @ 30 ft lbs ) ( JSB 15.9 @ 900 fps & Crosman 14.3's @ 945 fps )

Received the LDC end cap adapter that replaces the blanking cap with a cap that also has a 1/2-20 male stub and a screw on cover.

Cover screwed on it dresses up the factory LDC nicely while protecting the threads.

Option to now add additional LDC length is easy peezy

I've had mine since February. Concur with *everything* Scott says about this gun. My tuning skills are beginner level, but all I wanted/needed to do when I got the gun was to turn the HS down a bit to 910 FPS, and then adjust the travel on the first stage for the trigger which was quite short out of the box. Haven't messed with it since.

Yeah the styling on the stock is subjective, but I'm really not paying attention to that issue while I'm hunting. I don't know what type of wood that is, but it's quite durable while out in the field.

The shape of the grip is very comfortable, but can get a bit slippery in hot weather when you hand starts to sweat. So I wrapped it in some cloth camo tape and solved that minor issue.

I put a Magpul rail on to mount the UTG Recon bipod. Then I use a Magpul single point mount on the weaver rail for a magpul single point sling. Very happy with this setup for varmint hunting. Jacks can be very elusive to hunt and this easy to raise the gun and drawl down on a moving target real fast.

Not surprised to see Scott pimp his Mutant. He is a bling @#$%^& for sure.

We have a Shorty add-on LDC made. Will be painting to match.
Testing with it in place ... Just so ridiculous that a mouse farting is more obtrusive.

I looked at those along with the Cricket but settled on, as my handle would indicate, the FX Wildcat in .22. About 7 1/2 pounds scoped with a Baxter Walton LDC on the end. Shoots lights out at 50 yards with 18.13 grain JSB's at 875 fps. MTC Genesis Ultralight 3x9 x 40. I take HOSPs off wires at 40/50 yards. Killed a few flies at 32 yards and one dragonfly. I've heard good things about that Mutant barrel, but I think the smooth twist is pretty dang good, too! Welcome to the world of higher end bullpups! There's nothing like backpacking into a wooded area with these bad boys as they are light, manueverable and pack one heckuva punch. Mine is just at around 28 FPE at 50 yards and that's enough for the squirrels, rabbits, birds and sometimes insects that are on my Wildcat's menu...she does love to eat!

Regulated ... No depinger required. ZERO air tube or valve noise upon firing.

I caught one of the last .22 mutants on sale at talon tunes, but I'm debating over the scope height. I have a 30mm hawke 4.5-14x42 that I've had laying around. Anyone have any suggestions in regards to rings for it?

Had a chance today getting some pellets on paper.
When starting had 6 shots left of JSB 15.9s and those were shot at target center bulls eye ... Not too shabby

grabbed the second mag realizing it was loaded with CPHP's ... Lowered the POA to 6'clock and emptied all 12 making an @ sub dime size hole ... not too shabby

Yup that's at 50 yards folks !!
