I came to the same conclusion and my HW98 is scheduled for delivery on Wed. I of course will be not be home until about midnight Friday. Had Jim at Precision Airguns do a tune using a Vortek kit. Hopefully my glass will be showing up soon as well.

Wow, you went from a Gamo to the "top" break barrel. You are hooked, bad!
After you get you scope for ths one, you may as well start saving for an underlever. I'm sure these enablers would have a few recommendations!!!

I am not an enabler, but an enhancer. The HW97K & TX200 would be what I would recommend. Just sayin'

Ha! I was saving for an underlever but this crazy 98 kept coming up when reviewing underlevers! i guess that is the reason people have multiple guns! There's a lot of xx vs xx posts. A lot of people seem to have problems deciding. I'm not alone that's for sure!

So I talked to David from wyerncreations and ordered the Hawke 6-24x56. Such a nice guy to work with! My question is what size scope rings do I need and is this too much scope for this rifle? Will it interfere with the loading port? I think it's what Joe has on his but I'm not sure. Rifle may be getting here this Friday!

I have that one on mine and have no loading issues!!
Even if the scope covers most of the loading port loading is simple.
I'll take a pic of mine later.

You will want high rings for the 56mm objective and that scope has a 30 mm tube so buy accordingly. I have 2 piece double strap BKLs on order (57.00$). But for 14.95, you could get the accushot one piece high 30mm. I just wanted to try bkl and I wanted silver.

Yaa working with the Hubble space telescope brings those distant galaxies into sharp focus and shooting the bulls-eye with Saturn and her rings for the target makes 5 shot 1/2" groups easy

I agree with Jesse and Hawke has one of or the best warranty in the business. All my scopes are Hawke.

Did the 98 arrive?

I'm going to backpedal a bit. Does anyone know if the one piece accushot interferes with the side wheel on the hawke scopes? I hear that they do not work with the optisan viper side wheel but haven't heard anyone mention sidewinder problems.

I have the sidewinder on mine, and even with the sun shade there is no interference with the loading port. Also, I have hams for hands.

I also have single straps on my Pro Sport with a 6-24x56 Optisan Viper....also never moved!!
