That sounds like the perfect plan Allan. Nothing like getting a new rifle broken in and sighted by some of the best in the business. Some shooting buddies helping out a newcomer.

Casey, since I see you are in N. TX (all my shipments go thru Mesquite to) you need to start shooting Field Target. There are 3 very active FT clubs in N. TX. PM me if you want details. I too have an R11 and two of my guys just bought HW98's in the past month. I have shot both and both are great shooting rifles. I just shot a brand new HW98 from AoA today. I shot 5 times at 20 yards in one small ragged hole. Load up on Crosman Premier Lights (7.9gr) in the boxes. If you want to spend more money then buy H&N FTT. Both pellets shoot great in R11's/HW98's. Congrats on the new rifle. Here is the bad part. The rifle is no longer an excuse. It's all you now (or the wind, even a little wind will open up groups).

It's still not here 😞. Last update was yesterday and it was in Jacksonville Florida. My guess is it'll be here Monday. I unfortunately won't be able to shoot it until the next Monday. Arghhh! I have some cpl lights. I guess I'll break it in with those. The wait really is killing me!

I would love to find a match sometime. Looks like the closest ones are in Atlanta. I'll keep looking tho. South Carolina may have some that are closer.
