Yeah, that might have made a difference.

I contacted Snowpeak to see if I could be distributor for their airguns, and just like you, heard nothing back.

Just for grins and giggies I am reviving a 1988 Crosman 760 that really wanted to R.I.P.

The original front sight had removed and the end of the barrel was beat up a bit.
With a welded rear sight, chucking the barrel up in the Logan was not possible.
Mini lathe to the rescue!
I squared up the muzzel and re-crowned.Not a bad looking job, either!
Now, the floating hammer cocking pin is missing, so more lathe work needed.
Valve and pump resealed and appear to be working.

So, a touch more work to be done, and it should shoot.
But, with no front sight, I'll need to mount a Tasco scope to see if I can hit anything with it......

Yesterday I dragged my shooting gallery from the back of my property to a more shadded area under some trees. Now I can plink a lot more comfortably. I really need to pick up some read paint to toych up my swinging targets though. I'm afraid I've shot most of it off.

Today I was knocking the heads of penny sized suckers at 10 m with iron sights on my cheap beeman. Now thats fun.

Got the 3-D printer up and running.

After five months of rest and a move to a new home, I was assuming it would need a little bit of care. After dusting it off and opening a new spool of filament, I tried printing a .177 forcing cone and some
spacers (which is why this is airgun related).  bed was still level and it printed perfectly. This printer has been ridiculously consistent.  I think this brand is worth considering if you are shopping for a good printer.

These went into a 1” x 7” aluminum can (thanks to the amazingly helpful rocker1) and then onto the end of a pp700.  The k baffles are basically modeled after the baffles that come in the “SS” airforce guns -  those I had printed a while ago.  The proportions look weird I think at the time I printed those I was messing around with different cone angles.

What I am printing now is a set like the baffle in the foreground, some smaller spacers to separate the baffles and a larger spacer for the first chamber.   That baffle is modeled after a .25 taipan “forcing cone” (that’s what I saw someone refer to it as) that I had measured carefully a while back.  I scaled down to .177 cal and to fit in a 1” aluminum tube.

I tested the k baffles in some different configurations, and one thing I noticed was there is one sound that wasn’t changing regardless of what I changed in the moderator. I noticed that the Artemis shroud has three small holes drilled in it, presumably to allow air to escape.  When you put a can on the end, there’s a lot of back pressure and this makes an audible hiss.  the shroud on the 700 isn’t quite worthless - it provides volume for air expansion- with the ldc and adapter, the muzzle blows right into the shroud - no baffles in the way or anything and, of course, a direct air path from the muzzle is going to make some noise.
. I filled those with hot glue just to quickly test out whether I wanted to perhaps seal them with JB Weld or epoxy.

Made a pretty big difference in sound so I will definitely be sealing them up. 

I have included a photo showing where the holes are and the fine craftsmanship of my hot glue mod.

All I have done airgun related is surf the forums and think about shooting one.  I hope to pull the trigger today.  Right now I'm enjoying an outdoor fire with some coffee waiting for the "offshore marine air" clouds to depart

I cleaned the Gamo Whisper over lunch and took it out to see if that fixed the wild groups I got yesterday. Seemed to have fixed the problem. Spent about 10 minutes blasting away at targets form a sitting position at 10m. Then I had to get back to work.

Despite significant searching, I could not locate the little yellow chicken that flew off into the wild blue yonder yesterday, so today I purchased another complete set of metal silhouette targets to replace it. Now I have one chicken, two rams, two turkeys, and two anteaters.

Let the hunt commence!

Some people tether the critters so they don't escape.  I've got a rolling shop magnet for finding the ones that hide.  I consider it unethical to shoot barnyard animals so I prefer to think of them as game animals. So, a duck, turkey, hog, and ram are all game animals and therefore ethical to shoot.

I sighted in my m/m 880 and my 1377 with a newly added 1399 shoulder stock. Both gave me a good excuse to get outside and enjoy a couple of air guns.

I watched some vids on the Diana XR200.

I found my next airgun.  As much as I like a lot of others, this rascal reminded me of a Fortitude on steroids.  Altaros reg, tensioned barrel, lengthy breech for slugs and high BC pellets, .177 up to 30, designed for barrel swaps, safety and sidelever are swappable right to left, and what appears to be a phenomenal trigger.  And totally made in Germany- no Chi-stuff.

Methinks I need a .30.
