What airgun related did you do today?

I had one 5000 btu window a/c unit that we had bought new for the RV left over after we sold the RV. I brought it up from the barn and installed it in the Red Shed. That unit also has an energy saving mode that turns it on and off.
That building is insulated and 1/3 of the floor is wood and 2/3 is about 6" thick of round river stone gravel. It normally stays much cooler in there than it is outside if I keep the roll up door closed. Once the walls and gravel get cooled off it should be very comfy in there. It's very cool in there in the mornings up until about noon. I can run it during the heat of the day then shut it down in the evening.
I'll reconnect my exhaust duct and vacuum cleaner suction unit up for when I'm casting. I'll smelt wheel weight ingots outside.
I'll let it run for a couple hours and go see what we got.

I thought I lost a fill probe, so I cleaned and vacuumed my truck, did not find it.  Checked all my air gun cases several times, no luck. Tore apart my ammo cabinet to no avail. Then I remembered the wife bought me a new gun case for Christmas, I had shuffled some guns around, and again no luck.  Finally , I remembered I bought her a new gun for her birthday and spent some time swapping cases to accommodate scopes, low and behold, in my "new" shotgun case side pocket, there it was! I think I will still order a spare for all my PCP's in the next couple weeks. What a hassle!

Was out in the clients garage with the garage door open and the lead pot and a hot plate running but finally had to shut it down when it got up to 90. Man was I rusty at casting. Kept having the lead start solidifying as I was pouring the second slug. Finally figured out that I needed to have just a little more lead in the laddel. Found out my lead temperature gauge was reading way low and had to start checking it with my digital pyrometer. I think the dial got twisted when it was trapped in the cold lead.

 Mounted the Bargain gate 15 dollar reflex sight on my Jet1, I did not get it sighted in yet, as I was so short on time I had to open it while on the can this am , and mounted it during lunch, then worked my but off the rest of the day but will get a 3 day weekend to play

Messed around with the new to me disco. Mounted a scope on it, put a RAW trigger blade on it and filled the gauge hole in the stock with wood filler. Nice little carbine.

It is of the 4 reticle style, have a few next best thing to a prism scope.
I did have a 4 MOA dot, I tossed it in as a freebee when I traded my Galation 3 for a Wing Shot, on 2nd thought it may have been a good fit on the Wing Shot

Back to casting more slugs. Can't do any casting at home due to having to run the AC so trying to get done what I can while pet sitting. Hopefully I can get a lot more cast today now that lve fixed the problems I had yesterday.

I got a pack of 3000 bright, hole protectors in an assortment of colors and colored the bullseyes on several 24 bull targets.

Ill put one up today and see if they help any with aim.

I shot short range air pistol targets with a past USA Olympic team member.
Shot standing, offhand with the 601 and peeps.
Round #1 72.5%
Round #2 70%

I sat on the gazebo with a Crosman 362 and a Fire.  I shot 7.9gr CPHP through the Fire at floating leaves 40-60 yards away.  Then I switched to 17gr Ruger pointed pellets in the C362 and walloped some leaves at 30-40 yards.  A fun morning estimating ranges and practicing with moving targets.

Buddy’s 2240XL leaked last night. Told him wait till morning. Woke up to find it in pieces on my dining table that Kim set last night. Checked seals et al out, talked to him about disassembly, diagnosed loose TP screw LOL. Got it put back together, off dining table, and working before Kim got up and saw it. That’s a win in my book!

Shot the dragonfly on two pumps at 50 ft in the basement range plinking with Brooke and then we cleaned up a bit. The day before we had pistol fun with the colt, the model 29, and the scoped p17. Good times.

During a brief break in the rain I ran a few carts through my C600. It's too easy to burn up pellets with this thing! Definitely my most fun airgun, even if it's not as economic as my 2240 or Stormrider.

 Sighted in my Jet1 with the new reflex sight and my cast .25 38 gr HP slugs, Topped off my 90 ci bottle and made up a new fill whip that will fit the Notos and other picky probes, so I have one in the truck and one in the range.
 Shot a cast .25 38 gr HP slug at a rubber toy animal seems the slug stayed inside I shot it the other day with my Vectis .25 and had complete pass through   I might of bounced that one in there

Slugged the barrel on my impact.22 and found it's.2175 groove diameter. So now all I have to do is size the slugs I cast last weekend to.218 and.217 and see which one is more accurate.

I got all set up in the shop, the Notos went first and I shot a couple hundred CPHP's at 35, 75 and 100 yards from inside, under the apple tree and down range. I was not going to go play in the rain, I am still healing so that is the deal.

I was getting great groups at 35 yards, both of them... I need to clean the barrel. 2 groups formed, both very small but about 2 inches from each other. At 75 yards, I was able to put all the pellets on a 4" steel target without fail. I tried some JSB's too but they still spread out so tomorrow is going to be strip-down day.

I moved over to the Maverick on the same steel targets and at first, I got some amazing 100 yards results before the wind came up. I got 7 shots in a sub MOA group with 140 on the 1st reg and 115 on the 2nd reg, 1/2 turn out on the ISP and #7 on the power wheel.

The light breeze (1-2 mph) changed to a 3-7 mph wind and those CPHP's went to heck. I still sent a whole bunch of them down range but it was pretty spread out at those distances making me come back to 35 yards.

Good day, lots of shooting, nice to get up and move around some.
