Added a grip cap to my Daisy 853. The xtra 3/16” is just enough to keep my pinky finger in place.

I think that’s it for cosmetics other than refinishing the stock. Which will happen when I pull it to do the trigger mod.

Yesterday I worked on the discovery carbine. The gauge was eliminated so the stock gauge hole needed filled. I got it filled, colored and tru oiled. Then I installed some sling studs and a sling.

Milled on an almost perfect Third version of the AEA sear so I can continue testing/tuning while the original sear is with the machinist being copied. I messed up got too thin and broke of the tip.
The Alpha version was actually the perfect length so I began modifying it. Definitely will need a machinist for a permanent solution. Hope I can put a temporary together that will let me chrono the Huma reg adjustment. I think I'm set to about 180bar...
Went down the .257 rabbit hole research. Sadly .30 cal is the minimum here in GA and .35 caliber in VA where my family has property..

Today just seemed like a .22 caliber Mendoza RM 600 kind of morning.

Not disappointed. It sounds a little buzzy, but still has a smooth firing behavior and an exquisite trigger.

Other than shooting little pineapple cans with a red dot with the PP 700, I checked the location of the .22 empire xs I have coming from Krale.

That thing was in Philadelphia within a day and a half. I know I’m not the first one ask: How do they pull this off at that price? Shipping was not more expensive than shipping an air rifle via ground within the US (I have lots of experience with this from returning AEA airguns!). It was like 35 bucks for an air gun plus a tin of 500 .22 jsb’s and I think it would be here tomorrow if it wasn’t the weekend. UPS is the carrier which makes it especially surprising that it will get here so quickly.

I know there are courier services that can get a package anywhere very quickly, but I have paid expedited international shipping charges of $50 or more for items 1/50th the size of an air gun.

This morning, I took the complete antithesis of the Diana 52 that I shot yesterday, a Crosman 622, out for some old-school aluminum can plinking fun. The one I own is the only one I've ever seen in person, or even for sale on eBay.

May have been a mistake because it was so darn accurate before.
