 Was a cool relaxing day no living things wanted to die, so I wandered the yard with the Nemesis X and took out various spinner targets, from varying ranges standing off hand.

I can't tell which rifle is nicer looking. I'm actually leaning towards the Fenix because the stocks that I see online have so much character.

I spent a few pleasant minutes ringing gongs with the ProwlFire and some CPHP.  Ranges varied between 20 and 45 yards.  Then I got called away to cook dinner for some folks.  After that it was too dark to shoot anymore.  I need to do something about that like adding lights to my backstop.

I've thought about adding lights shining on my targets. Mosquitoes might be a problem though.

I tried the solar flood lights a few years back but they were cheap and soon died.  I experimented with a black light and some Shoot-n-See targets at the same time and the results were interesting but impractical.  I've got a 3 million candle power flood light mounted on a tripod (for hog hunting).  I'll probably set it up if get the gumption.  What I need is a nice soft, quiet, backstop to soak up the pellets.

For the back stop, try a large carpet hung loosely behind the target. It gives a quiet thud and being loose
it gives on impact and is soft enough, with little resistance, the pellet won't go through it.... most of the time.
Indoor outdoor does well for me.

The exude flshlight can illuminate the target 40 yds away. Got one on sale a couple years ago from midway. It's unusual tech. I call it the light saber.

I have one of these that virtually lights up my entire range. I set it about 10 yards out behind my firewood stack and it help to draw the flying bugs away from the shooting deck.

 I used to have a mecury vapor street light set up on a portable base, I used it to do late night yard work, as it lit up the entire .6 acre and then some
 I got to thinking now they have LED versions for not much $ I may have a new portable sun in the near future 
 My other thought was LED car replacement head lights for a low voltage setup with multiple lights to lessen shadows.

 Monday update, shot PP700 .177, and the FX DRS more on the DRS in Hunting Gate.

James, I also am LED curious. I remember when people using high heat, high electric hydrosodium bulbs for a more sun like  spectrum of light were able to miraculously switch to low energy, low heat, less expensive LED lights with a similar light spectrum. Curious what flood light options are out there in a housing setup similar to the harbor freight halogen item.
