I shot 11 pellets today. 

Lt. Dan shared that he shot at 50 yards so I gave it a try too. 

1 shot to determine holdover and the next ten for groupings.  1 5/8“ with JSB 10.3 out of the HW77K with Leupold 3-9x33

Now that I have the problems with my RWS460 worked out I need to get a better scope for it. My 10-shot group was not as good as I know is possible. Without the flyer that I pulled my group would be 1.313 ctc.

Nice shooting, Brother Dan! Nothing wrong with that group, but I can see how you’d like some better glass mounted. I’m doing all I can to not just go ahead and steal the scope off my Octane Elite to put on my Parrus! Only thing holding me back is the weather and being on call, I haven’t put enough pellets through it. I’ll have time to save for another scope, if I can just hold out.

Thanks,  it was actually bReTt that inspired me to shoot those 50 yard targets.  He is an amazing marksman and definitely an inspiration to me.

I also shot some 50 yard targets with my HW50 but they were not my best.

No shooting today though.  Winds W @ 16 mph with gust to 23 mph, what I'm seeing is near 20 mph constant wind. It keeps blowing my target stands over. My wind flags are all standing straight out.

Same here, 23mph steady. Just got home (early), think I’ll take a nap. Maybe I’ll still shoot some in a couple hours, but can’t ask for tight groups. I think I’ll shoot the Parrus through the chrono as long as the wind is not in my face.

I have been fighting winter weather shooting outdoors here, only regulated to indoors (10 meter), but you all are a motivator to venture back outdoors in the in-climate weather. Lets see what this weekend brings.

It was a balmy 72 degrees here in the paved state so I hauled out the XS60 to test out the new scope and some new pellets.  I only shot about 6 pellets to get her zeroed for azimuth using my new 14.6gr H&N FTTs.  I’ll worry about zeroing for range later.  So far very pleased with the scope and the pellets.

I shot a HW95 today and a Wildcat.  I was drilling tiny group holes with the WC.  I clocked the pellets and messed with the hammer spring adjuster on it.  I had the JSB 8.4 zinging along at 1030 fps.  Fun but too hot.  Dialed them down to 960 (Still hot) and tiny hole groups so I left it there.  The 10.3 are whipping along at 885.  I think I'll dial the reg down maybe?  I certainly don't need the extra oomph but at those speeds the groups wer tight and the ES was tight and it didn't seem to be stressing the gun.......

1 shot, 3”x5” steel plate at 30 meters out the garage back door from the Walther Parrus .22. Then I had to go to work.

In my basement I shot a 198/200 with 6x with my HW30 from my table.
Some 22 pellets just showed up, so after I finish a few things I will see how they shoot.

TX200/8.64gr H&N FTT

First FT Match for 2021 at Bay Point tomorrow.
Cleaned the TX barrel...filthy-and lubed the spring...very dry.
Couple of drops of oil on the hinges, too.
Checked the screws.
Shot 10 to prep the barrel again. then some practice.
10 offhand at 10 yards with scope at 4X
Then sitting on bucket/sticks at 12 yards and 16X
I would have shot further but neighbors are grilling steaks outside...

Heavy train throughout the night and still a bit of sprinkling, so I pulled out something to shoot that's more adequate for this week weather: my Barnett crossbow.
Haven't shot this for about a year. Shot standing up with my tripod at the Black Hole foam target. Shot all the way out to 40 yards. Very content with my shooting results!

YES!!!

I find myself grabbing my Wildcat MKI in .177 most of the time.  I love that gun. 

Its compact, accurate, lots of shots, easy to shoot in any situation (bench, seated, prone, offhand....) and just plain fun!  I have thought about getting a 45 degree offset set rail and adding a red dot to it.  I have swapped between scope and red dot but I lazy and don't want to swap it all the time.  Should I buy a second WC?  Hmmm.....

I shot the FX Streamline on low power at cardboard 30 yards out at night in the dark with a flashlight and clouds overhead with the moon faintly shining through and an owl hooting in the distance.....
