Lt. Dan shared that he shot at 50 yards so I gave it a try too. 

1 shot to determine holdover and the next ten for groupings.  1 5/8“ with JSB 10.3 out of the HW77K with Leupold 3-9x33

Now that I have the problems with my RWS460 worked out I need to get a better scope for it. My 10-shot group was not as good as I know is possible. Without the flyer that I pulled my group would be 1.313 ctc.

Nice shooting, Brother Dan! Nothing wrong with that group, but I can see how you’d like some better glass mounted. I’m doing all I can to not just go ahead and steal the scope off my Octane Elite to put on my Parrus! Only thing holding me back is the weather and being on call, I haven’t put enough pellets through it. I’ll have time to save for another scope, if I can just hold out.

Thanks,  it was actually bReTt that inspired me to shoot those 50 yard targets.  He is an amazing marksman and definitely an inspiration to me.

No shooting today though.  Winds W @ 16 mph with gust to 23 mph, what I'm seeing is near 20 mph constant wind. It keeps blowing my target stands over. My wind flags are all standing straight out.

Same here, 23mph steady. Just got home (early), think I’ll take a nap. Maybe I’ll still shoot some in a couple hours, but can’t ask for tight groups. I think I’ll shoot the Parrus through the chrono as long as the wind is not in my face.

I shot some spinners at 50 yards today with the .30 cal.

I then shot some hot solder on a resistor's cold solder joint on my navigational display board in the Tacoma.  Glad that's working again!

I forgot to post the 45 yard shots with my RWS-460.  This group was so much tighter than my 50 yard groups. It's amazing how much an additional 5 yds means.

Parrus .22 open sights at 30 meters and boy was it windy. 23 mph right to left and gusts changing directions. But still had fun. 10 shots CPDUM 2.12” group, 867 FPS, 23.8 FPE. 10 shots CPHP 2.75” group, 870 FPS, 24.1 FPE. Finally, 5 CPDUM & 5 CPHP in the same group at 1.93”. Hopefully I’ll get a scope on it in a couple weeks, but I’m going to empty these 2 tins of Crosmans through it first. And having fun doing it.

Thanks Dan! No, I haven’t been able to shoot much more than 50 or so at a time. Once I’m not on call, I’ll be able to shoot more and compare to other’s cocking effort. But I don’t think it’s worse than my other rifles. The ergonomics are good, especially with out a scope for now. The FPE is almost exactly the same as my Octane Elite, but the shot cycle is much less violent and with a much better trigger. I sure am getting impatient for warmer weather, but perhaps my next project will be polishing the Octane trigger.

After everyone was settled in for the night I headed outside and set up a flashlight on a cardboard target and shot 47 pellets through the Royale 400 on low power.  I had all of the outside lights off and it was a perfectly calm evening so I was VERY peaceful out and a relaxing time.  Target was 25 yards away and I was seated shooting off of my knee.

I need to find something like you have.  Last night I used a bike headlight set up on another target stand.  I also have a corded halogen work light that I use but it's the kind that sits on the ground.  I like your set up being cordless and on an adjustable stand.  Much more useable like that.
