The wind has finally calm down and the temp climbed into the 50s. Felt like spring out today. Got home from work and headed straight into the backyard. Enjoyed the nice day between airgunning and cornhole practice.
Today, I'd decided on the .22 Benji NP2. Had to rework my hold last time, after a lengthy hiatus, this time I was shooting well right out of the gate. Buying 1.25" steel, 40yd out and acorns from 30yd. Also hit a mouse! Ok, the mouse was already dead when I came across it, so I just moved it into the 30yd target area. A great way to unwind after a day of work.

Man! I may have to thaw out a couple of rabbits.  You folks have me thinking about Brunswick stew. 
I got up early with the dogs.  They won't let me sleep after the first squirrel touches their yard each morning.  I always grab an air rifle when I go out with them cause they are sure to flush something.  Usually it is just squirrels but I have turned them out on a morning and they took off after a rabbit, or a deer or an armadillo.  Today they couldn't find a squirrel though they had cried for the preceding 30 minutes like there was a squirrel invasion going on.  So I sat in my lawn chair and plinked silhouette targets at 30 yards with my Crosman 1400. It's pleasantly cool in the mornings and I enjoy sitting in my garden while the dogs range around the yard.  I've found several pellets that perform extremely well in this 48 year old pumper.  At thirty yards the cheap Ruger pointed pellets from Walmart are real tack drivers.

Received my XS60C from FDAR today. After I got the REX scope leveled & mounted, I emptied the carts and reloaded. Was shooting FTT 8.64 gr. with the open sights, then Barracuda Match 10.65 gr. with the scope. I got it close to zero at 20 meters as it was getting too dark to shoot. I’m looking forward to finding its favorite pellet and confirm a zero between the next 2 afternoons, if there’s enough daylight, and Saturday.

Couldn’t help myself... my XS60C shot so good without even printing holes in paper, yet. I had a hunch, so at 1st light, before work, I got the REX scope zero’d with Barracuda Match 10.65 gr. with just a few shots. Then I shot 2- 3-shot groups at 20 meters. All shot kneeling, the 1st 2 CPDUM shots stacked one on top of the other and the 3rd just a little high & left. I have plenty of the H&N, about a half tin of the CPDUM. I’m going to try to get a brown box of the CP heavy’s 10.5gr. Going to chrony it with these 2 pellets as soon as I can, but I think from the bench at 30 meters these should be good.

I'm shooting my Crosman 1400 a lot right now.  I'm saving my quality pellets for other guns and shooting easily available stuff in the 1400.  Of course pumping it up between shots regulates my rate of fire and that conserves ammo too.  I can easily go OCD with one of my springers and shoot off a half a tin of pellets in an afternoon. I'm worn out after a couple of dozen shots from the 1400.

A friend bought the FX chronograph that hangs on the moderator and works with your phone, I used it to tweak my FX hammer spring tension today, worked really good.

I love it! Can’t wait to shoot a 10- shot group of each through the chrony at 30 meters this evening. Should be about 75*, perfect!

This was a three shot target from the other night using the 10.65 gr Barracudas. I also fired a 5 shot group with the 350  using the H&N 5.53mm 14.66 grain FTT's at 23 yards and they cut a hole the size of a nickel. I'm very pleased with the results. I would have posted that target but I accidentally threw it away while cleaning off the dinning room table LOL Thanks for your suggestion on the FTT's I'm glad I tried them😉
