Yes, whenever I look at it closely I'm in awe. Not just the wood, the metal is incredible, both build quality and condition.

I got it cheap due to leaking seals, fixed it, and consistently feel like it was one of the best bargains I've gotten.

Shot my N-Tec 350 Mag at 55 yards. Despite having only the vertical reticle element which decided to begin moving to horizontal within the scope , I managed to Kentucky windage a 1" 2-shot  () "group" (LOL) that was even touching the bulls-eye...
And the rest of the shots even hit my 12" tall 16" long target box!!!

Flash woke me up at first light by jumping on my chest.  That's his way of telling me that there are squirrels in his yard.  So I got up yawning and scratching. Grabbed the Crosman 1400 and thumbed a pellet into the breech.  Racked the pump eight times and we were ready to go.  I unlatched the screen door and Flash and Flytrap just about tore it off the hinges in their eagerness to get outside.  They went roaring off toward the squirrel feeder and at least 6 squirrels broke frantically for the safety of the trees.  It was a target rich environment.  The large number of squirrels on the ground confused the poor dogs who couldn't settle on just one squirrel to chase.  So they dashed around spastically barking at rapidly disappearing rodents.  In a second it was all over and I never did get a clear shot at a squirrel.  So I rang some spinners at 30 yards for practice.  Then I got ready to go to work.

i grabbed a tin of JSBs and the HW30 and went to work on aerating some cans.  then i decided to perforate some paper and that's when things went sideways.  i would get tight groups and then 1 or 2 hits no where near my poa.  i checked the stock screws and they seemed tight.  checked the scope mount and it felt good.  after shooting some more a grabbed a pellet that was extremely difficult to seat in the breech.  looking at it i discovered a .22 in my .177 pellets.  now inspecting the entire tin i found H&N Barracudas, RWS Superdomes, Winchester HPs, Gamo Rockets, H&N Sniper Heavies, CPHPs, CPHs, and 2 different wadcutters i couldn't identify.  i don't know how or when i created that mess, but it got me to go through all my pellet tins and look for more.  luckily the only other mishap i found was the lids on 2 tins swapped.

I haven't shot much this year, so the 30-60yd range was all overgrown. Now that falls here, the plant life is starting to significantly recede. I could finally see my targets again. I went in with a machete and hacked my target lines free from what's left of the wild vegetation.
After getting home, from my son's last soccer game of the season, I grabbed the trustworthy .25 Armada and proceeded to send a magazine through the range. Even with Gusty crosswinds, the 25.39 JSBs connected with every single POA. That lead meets steel always bring a smile to my face.

Shot all 3 Germans at spinners at 30 meters today. Then thought I would shoot the QB78D with fresh carts and go back to the CPHP 7.9 gr. and get the zero back on 20 meters. Then I remembered I had a few tins I had laying around from finding the right pellet for the Terrus. Apparently, the QB78D really likes H&N FTT 8.64 gr. 4.51mm. It still shoots great with CPL in the box and CPHP and Gamo Red Fires, but I think the FTTs performed great.

It was not a springer day for me.  I wanted to try some new pellets in my .25 cal Striker.  I'd also lightened up the trigger a bit more and I wanted to try it out.  Could not hit squat and I wasted a quarter of a tin of pellets before I stopped.  O'kay I thought, I'll just shoot my trusty RIM.  It's an easy shooter that will put me back in a good mood.  Nope. Stopped before I got too OCD and switched to the Hatsan 125.  I was stacking them with this gun on Monday.  Not today though and I did get a little OCD before I quit.  Wasted 30 good pellets.  In a really foul mood now I broke out my Winchester 1100.  A gun that will really shine somedays or stink like rotting poultry on others.  Today was a rotten poultry day.  I gave up.  Just before dark I shot a dozen rounds through my XS60 to get my mojo back.  A nickel sized 10 shot group at 35 yards.  Good enough!

So this week ups delivered my new fx wildcat mkIII . So that has had my attention since it arrived. I have to say I’m thoroughly impressed with this rifle. Tomorrow I will be able to run it thru the crony and note the seven different power levels as well as zero st 30 yards. Really impressed.

I put a scope back on the Diana 350 and had a shooting session with it today, it seems to be settling down some but I still have to concentrate very hard to get the groups to be consistent. I know the inconsistency is mostly me, but if I have to focus this hard just so the pellets go the same place every time the rifle is useless to me for hunting it's very frustrating. I was getting good groups, but I basically had to hold the rifle and squeeze the trigger in such a way that being able to reproduce this hold in a hunting situation would be extremely difficult. Don't get me wrong the rifle is accurate, but it's so hold sensitive and the trigger needs to be finessed in such a way this rifle I'm afraid is a range queen which is very disappointing. I'm shooting this rifle is a sitting position like I would be in the woods, I'm not using a rest of any kind. I'm not giving up on her, but I can see now this is going to be a long learning curve. My 34 doesn't behave this way so I attribute this to the fact that it's a magnum springer and the slower speed of the pellets compared to the 34 requires more follow through and perhaps to a certain degree the fact the rifle has a relatively low shot count through it. I'm hoping breaking it in and it breaking me in will mitigate some of this, I'm just approaching a tin of 500 through it so maybe things will get better, I hope so...

Wes, I'm experiencing something similar with my Hatsan Striker.  The trigger requires far too much finesse to work as a hunting trigger.  I'm making incremental improvements to it but it isn't good enough to hunt with yet.  I shot the Striker today and decided 30 yards is maximum range with the 20gr FTT's.  I'm disappointed that the H&N Crow Magnums didn't shoot better in this gun.  I shot some 18gr AA domes through the RIM.  Acceptably accurate at 35 yards.  I got my springer Mojo back!

I had a very productive and fun day on this cool, calm, and dry Sunday. In-between outside chores, I was fitting in cornhole practice and AG plinking. Today, I shot the Benji NP2 twins. One is a .177 and the other is a .22. So, they are actually fraternal twins 
The shooting was actually pretty rough. I haven't shot any piston guns for awhile, so I had to almost retain myself.

FX Streamline .22 20-55 yards at steel eggs, foam cones and plastic practice golf balls with JSB 18.1 grain pellets standing with the rifle rested on Primos Trigger Sticks (tripod). 

Also, Sean and I, shot Crosman 1701P and Baikal MP-46M at wood blocks at around 12 yards standing two hand hold.  Nate and Sean shot together too while I took pictures.

I don't know what's going on with the 350, I can shoot it better with open sights than I can with the scope mounted and there is nothing wrong with the scope. I'm considering abandoning scoping it and just using the iron sights or try to find a decent peep sight for it. I looked at what Williams has to offer and they seem weak and cheaply built and I can't seem to find another company that makes a compatible peep sight for airguns. Townsend Whelen once said a peep sight was as good as a 2x scope and I believe the Colonel. I'm going to keep shooting the rifle with the scope mounted at least until I have a full tin of pellets through it, but I can't see how breaking in the rifle will improve the situation I describe? Maybe some heavier pellets than the 14.3 gr Premiers would stabilize things I'm not sure, I know my 34 likes heavier pellets so maybe this rifle will too? I hope you can figure your Hatsan out it sure is frustrating when you buy a tool that doesn't perform as you expected. Take care 😐

Since I share my success shots occasionally, it's time to share my failures, as well: Prior to last week (10/11-10/19), I had eradicated 10 tree rats in nine days (actually getting opportunities on six of the nine). Since 10/19, I've missed every one that I've shot at--some spectacular misses. So, I've shot the tree, the fence, the bush, and the grass--but definitely nothing else (other than my paper targets).

Hilariously--in disgust that I had just missed an easy profile shot at a squirrel on a tree root at 23 yards (literally 12" above my practice metal squirrel target), I snapped off a shot at the metal target, nailing the yellow target.

I'm beginning to think I live in Great Britain as it has been damp and drizzle or fog since early last week and more of the same for this week so all my shooting is in the basement at 10 yards    Shot the Swarm yesterday and probably the Air Max  today just for something different
