So.....what did you shoot today?

I got out a couple of the Winchesters and got off a few shots at an empty box that had contained the brick of 20 cigars that came in from Field Supply yesterday. Nicaraguan this time, with Maduro wrapper 7" x 50mm Churchill's. Too bad I can't smoke'em in the house. But it felt good to shoot again. I like the Winchester 1977XS with the Winni 4x32AO scope on it. Nice balance and light in the hand.  Such a pleasure to shoot. And then the 1894 BB gun I put the butt plate on in a recent video. Ya just gotta love those cowboy guns, after growing up with all the classic TV shows & movies. Then throw in cowboy stories by Louis L'Amour & Zane Grey.

Had the grandsons with me yesterday (we were hunkered down and blessed not to be the recipient of "Sally." (Praying for those are getting hit!!!)  We got one squirrel and missed the other. Fun day watching my 6 and 8 year olds learn to be safe with guns (and have fun shooting, too.

I shot the D52 .22 I have in classifieds at my indoor range. After cleaning the barrel, zeroed with AA 16gr @ 25 meters. Ready to rock/roll on some jackrabbits or fox squirrels if it doesn't sell.

I finally got fed up with the rain and sat on the porch with my 2240 and my Hatsan striker.  The 2240 is now wearing a cheap Daisy red dot sight and the Striker got a new one piece cantilever scope mount.  I picked up one of these Center Point one piece scope bases at Academy Sports several months ago for another gun.  I was in Academy again yesterday looking in vain for pellets and I decided to get one for the Hatsan.  It allows the use of the scope stop and makes the safety easier to reach.  I decided to re-zero the Striker for 25 yards and the 2240 is now zeroed at 10 yards.

Rediscovered my old Red Ryder. Set up some little plastic army men and knocked them over. They weren't hit hard enough to bust them up so I could set the same ones up multiple times.  Something to do in the basement when nothing else going on.

We had hazardous level of air quality with heavy smoke for over a week due to multiple fires in our area, and today we finally saw the sunlight and had a blue-ish sky.
I shot a cardboard box to death today, with a PP750 still detuned to Canadian specs.
Shooting for the sake of shooting, even off the reg. It was all for the purpose of breaking me in: It's my 1st PCP . Worked nicely I'd say.

That's shooting quite hot for the larger caliber .22; so, what a nice conversion. I've got a 7.5" in .177 that shoots just excellently. Very nice CO2 pistols.


Very nice looking pistol; and, I'm very impressed with your markmanship of 1" grouping at 8 yards, one foot! That's tighter than I can do for sure--even off a rest.

Brought out the Benji Kratos this morning...
DANG this gun is just amazing. 35-50 yards dead nutz accurate.. and with it's 500cc bottle and 12 round mags I am eating up my pellet supply FAST.
I am almost through a 500 tin of 15g and halfway through my second tin of 18g FX pellets I JUST bought!

Now that I am ready, where did all them tree rats go?

Thank you Archie! I made sure when I machined the new rifled barrel to keep tolerances as tight as possible, I think it paid off. With the previous 5.5'' .22 barrel I got 343 fps with the same pellets. I love this gun!

Now that I am ready, where did all them tree rats go?

Zoey and I went for a woods walk with the Kratos.
She found four squirrels ... but when I caught up they were nowhere to be seen.
I emptied the mag on a tree stump out of frustration.

So...I got the field mowed.
Brought out my model 99 .300 Savage and rechecked zero at 125 yrds with peeps.
