There's just something about a good peep sight on a traditional rifle isn't there.

100*+ heat index today so i'm cleaning out the garage and taking water breaks.  during the re-hydrating process i ll take a couple of shots with the 2400KT.  this thing likes just about every pellet i put into it.  although, the H&N Sniper lights look very good at 25yrds, they drift about 3-4" right of the target at 41yrds.  the JSBs are still spot and have no problem spinning the 1" stainless target at that distance.

Thanks Buddy!  It is shooting well for me. 

I shot the Wildcat again today.  I threw 3 empty cans out in the grass and sat and shot at those until I finished off the tin of pellets.  It was maybe 40 shots.  The cans were only 25 yards away so it was pretty easy but FUN!

Yesterday was National Hot Dog Day, so we fired up the coals in the Weber and grilled. While on the back deck waiting for the coals to get grey, I took a poke @ a collared dove waaay out there, guestimated about 60-65 yards. X mil-dots holdover.... squeeeeze.... and poof! Surprised myself    The LGV still -WOWS- me from time to time, yesterday was one of 'em.

Just stepped out onto the covered 30yd shootin range and sent 10 or so into the steel blank target just as daylight began to peek. The NP2 Elite synth .22 seems to have potential. Need to mount a better scope than the NCStar 6x32. My old eyes just can't bring that range in.
Also noticed a very long second stage on the trigger. I don't like a trigger that distracts me. We'll want to see if it's adjustable or what else can be done with it.
It definitely has truck gun potential.

Shooting the 2240 a good few hours playing with an open sight project, unadjustable but "zero" at 25ft. Shot the prod in shorter time but played alot with the hammer/spring adjustments hoping to hit a medium in accuracy with the tp increase. I need to grind a bit off the back breach screw on the 2240 so the back sight can sit tight without the screw digging into the hammer spring/adjuster.

Super accurate cheap shooting.... love my pumpers!!

Only pulled the trigger twice today (Thursday) in 100 degree heat. The first pull on the Impact X 700 in .25 with a 34 grain VK Slug took out a horse fly who had the misfortune of landing on my white painted steel plate and provided a well contrasting aiming point! The fly was of course more surprised than I was although I thought he was a paint chip at first before I realized I had freshly painted all the chips when I finished shooting last time. That and a matching chip flew away to avoid the same conclusion as her buddy!

I swapped the scope from the titan to the Mayhem today. I have been shooting a little better with the Mayhem so decided to put the better scope on it. It's a UTG 3-12 44mm SWAT AO, pretty nice scope, a lot better than the center point I had on it. Had a time finding the 1" rings for a weaver rail! . Almost got it zeroed in the extreme heat and humidity, but then the rain came. 

Hope to get out later after the rain, it should cool things off some.

Tom I really like the Swat Scope that I put on my Freedom.  It's a 4-16X.
