So.....what did you shoot today?

 I shot my P-rod'To Show Its Features" as I loaned it out to step dad for a raccoon in the attic issue. Then I broke out the Wing Shot for some Starling practice, 4 starlings on the outer edge of 25 yards fell victim with the Bismuth #4 shot. Rain set in so I switched to my mrod .177 shooting 16.xx gr jsb, and made a few more starlings go pop out to 60 yards.

I have one of those and I find the pouch to be way too small.

You want to use 9mm or 10mm sized ammo. I just got these, they shoot great!

I have a similar model- I cut the heavy bands down 1" for a shortened draw- seems to work better with the clay ball ammo- I bought a 1500-pack and have gone through about half.

The pouch is too small for my liking, but I don't care enough to bother replacing yet.  I find these powerful enough with clay ball to drop pigeons and HOSPs.  It will sting the F out of squirrels, too, but I'm finding it takes steel shot to kill a squirrel.  Oddly enough, I still prefer an upright shot instead of sideways; maybe too many years of wrist-rocket use? 

anyhooo, a slingshot, a pocket full of ammo, and a spinner target 19 yards away makes for a nice way to unwind; it can also be very humbling.

I just came in from shooting the FX at 35 yards on low power.  I need to make a dope sheet for it for after hour rabbit sniping so I don’t draw any attention to myself.

This is the first time, I've ever been serious about getting to be accurate with slingshots. I'm just finding it very challenging and a lot of fun.
I've only shot wrist tickets and only ever shot it upright. I'm now getting very comfortable shooting from a side hold and actually preferring to hold it like this. And I'm liking shooting with the flat bands.
I received my 1100 classy balls this past Friday, and I've already used up about 1/3.

I have 3 more slingshots on it's way  Looks like I caught me a bit of a bug. At least this new hobby is much cheaper than air guns. Let's see how long it lasts.

Shot the new 397 at 20 yds. Indoors again with cheap Beeman pointed pellets.
Lol, so far all the airguns I have shoot at least one or two of the cheaper pellets extremely well..... love my pumpers!

Stormrider got a rabbit and the marauder got a squirrel. Shot the marauder at some red ryder targets a little bit ago.

Got my 5 shot clips in for my Daisy. So decided to do some offhand shooting. Best group out of 5 targets. At 26 ft, personal best. Since all other 4 groups were about 3/4-1" groups, low left, and shotgun pattern.

Do need to put a rubber buttstock on it, since it slipping a bit.

Is that a LOUD gun? My neighbor shot his at the local squirrels here in the neighborhood: it sounded like a .22 cannon.

Oh yes..quite loud but I live  "Up-State Minnesota"  in a rural area. 

Actually you could say I live in a forest.... so LOUD ain't no problem.

The only thing that LOUD will bother are the Timber Wolves that live out there and that... ain't so bad either.

Them Timber Wolves can be a real pain in the @$$ sometimes.

Went out and shot 2 dozen rounds through the Titan after dinner. It was 96F with an RH of over 50%.

I was shooting fairly well but the sweat in my eyes, I did not last very long

Dinh, I always come back to slingshots no matter what other hobbies I get into.  BTW, flat-band slingshots are addictive and handle lightweight ammo like the clay balls far better than wrist rockets.  I still prefer my TruMarks for outright hunting but they have larger pouches; I use heavy duty surgical tubing with mine and draw 36 inches- when I hit a squirrel it is louder than Polymags from my .25 95QE.  When you eventually start cutting your own bands for your flatbanders, tapered bands shoot faster, and when cutting, use a roller-style fabric cutter.  WAY better than any scissors for cutting Theraband and similar.  I practice side-hold and vertical shooting both left and right handed.  I try to stay ambidextrous as much as possible... that's the prepper in me making sure no matter what happens, I can do things with either hand.  Incidentally, you outta check out the FiveJoy shovels on Amazon.

I had ordered a single shot try for the Streamline.  It delivered today so I shot just a few few pellets through it to try it out.  Works perfect!

Got off work an sat on the back patio to relax along with the weather, it was a hurricane like rain storm earlier with  tons of wind (enough and did knock down trees in the area...), when i got home it was JUST over and the sun came out. Had a few shots of 151° and here came another baby squirrel(tail was maybe 5" long) sitting ontop my unfinished shooting wall... taunting me... i cant shoot it #1 its "over" the fence and #2 if it was in the yard/front of the wall id be/get in trouble, "cant shoot till the walls done"...


Long story short, baby squirrel walked cautiously into the yard thinking it could get the food out my "ghetto birdcage/feeder" and he got tapped on the buttocks with a BB from the daisy buck instead of food a polymag lunch.
