RWS domed 8.3 pellet.I approve of this post!I've been spending A LOT of time with my slingshots lately, but have been squeezing in some quality time with my 2400KT and the CZ-634. The .177 Winnie domes from Tractor Supply are doing a number on squirrels. The 634 may only be putting out only 10 FPE but squirrels act like its 100 FPE when they get hit in the noggin.the 2400KT was used to dispatch a C4 Energy Drink can that was perched on my fence. That can is absolutely dead As far as whether or not CO2 cartridges and pellets are truly "worth it"... when you have a gun as accurate as my Crosman-barrelled 2400KT that is very light, easy to swing, easy to load, easy to shoot (even with a stock CCS-gun trigger), you will burn through both CO2 and pellets... and not complain a single bit. This carbine remains my go-to shooter once weather hits 70 degrees. I buy my cartridges on Amazon when they go on sale- usually opt for the 40-pack- since I accrue Amazon gift card at an alarming rate. Wal-Mart is also dirt-cheap when they offer the 15-pack, but you HAVE TO BE QUICK when ordering, and yes, I take note of the Bargain Gate for such deals. A bit of advice RE: the CO2 guns: if you can find a cheap wadcutter your CO2 guns like (RWS Hobbies, H&N Excite, Crosman WC) then be sure to load up. Wadcutters make the absolute best pesting pellet in the short-ranged lower-power levels of a CO2 critter-gitter. I wish TSC offered a Winchester Wadcutter- I'd buy a case of tins. And as per Kris' and Bill's mention, I too dove into the rabbit-hole eyes-wide-open and feet-first. I knew what I was getting into and have ZERO regrets. And if CO2 ever gets to be a drag, you can also bottle-feed a 2240/2400KT and go the HPA route. I'm sorely tempted with my 1740 pistol.

You guys are fantastic enablers!!!!Wheeeeeeee, here I go....
Was up to the inlaws Saturday and shot the FX Crown .25 at 100 yards primary target was an empty 2 liter Pepsi bottle and a half empty 1lb plastic tub of old corn starch. I have the Crown sighted in for 25 yards and was using 1.5 mil dot holdover for fairly consistent hits even with a 5 to 10 mph crosswind. I was hitting both targets 7 to 8 out of 10 shots . This rifle is amazingly accurate especially when you consider I was shooting semi off hand with rifle resting on my braced left hand. I honestly thing 20 years ago this would have been 9 out of 10 hits on target. I will be going out to the Brookhaven range in a couple weeks weather permitting
Shot a squirrel in the buttocks with a daisy buck ... tapping the booty and he ran hog wild till he figured how he got into the yard and took off.
