I can't wait to shoot that .50 cal muzzle loader I recently got gifted to me.

Got the mowing all done and dragged the chain link fence over the garden area that I'm trying to flatten out so it can be mowed. It's supposed to come up some good storms this weekend. That will level it some more. When it's all said and done, we'll have a sweet 1 acre shooting range.
Now I'm gonna shower and get some shooting in. I'll start with the Plinkster that had a cart stuck in it. I drilled a hole in the tube near the nose of the cart.... no more worries about stuck carts now. Just stick a pick in the hole and pop them out.

Shot 3 mags with the Pinkster. Came in to cool off a bit. I'll head back out after the race. May get the Freedom out if the weather holds.

bill, dont worry.....BP has little chamber pressure so it will only be a push.
now if you charge it will 3 pyrodex pellets and the guns worthy of it, then thats a little more of a shove instead of push.

we hunt alot with ML's, in the last 4-5 years we have been into smokeless ML's
and thats a different rush on its own.......

I've got two muzzle loaders. A Thompson/Center Renegade .50cal in vgc. And an Ultra-Hi Kentucky percussion .45cal kit rifle, both from the 70's. I built the .45 from the kit myself, raw brass castings and all. Still have to finish restoring it.

Wayne, those cast 19.6 grain pellets look superb!!!! That's drool on my part. Wow, I didn't know that cast pellets came out like that. Does it take some buffing to get them so shiny and purdy?

Oh, and . . . 40 yds sound outstanding!!!! Great shooting.

I have cast lots of bullets for muzzleloaders, round ball and maxi balls, and you could always tell where the sprue had been.  I can't see any evidence of a sprue on those cast pellets.  Where is it???

I did not get to shoot much today on and off rain. I shot two dozen rounds at this target from 30 yards, then brought it inside for some close range pistol practice. A Diana Bandit got almost 40 rounds out of a fill Weee! Much fun
