Got to do something with them, an overloaded trucker left a pallet of them at work so he could make it through the weigh station.
I figured I've already got enough ants out back and can't really get any more, plus with all that candy out there they may not bother heading towards the house

I did the theme shoot today and shot Winchester 423 then the 425 and finished with the 427. Amazing little plinkers. Nice to shoot low powered springers now and then!

Around here it seems that we are only getting two kinds of spring weather rain with breaks of sun or cloudy wit off and on showers mixed in with two or three days a week of grey and cool with the threat of rain Bleeeeck

I'm not 100% sure but I think for the year we are above the average for precipitation even though not much snow plenty of rain since the first of the new year

took a few shots with my 2400KT and some RWS Hobby wadcutters- made the spinner move a whole bunch.

Also took one shot with my Tru-Mark and a 3.8" steel bearing.  DRT on a tree rat.

I find it best to stay well lubricated...
.... and wring out the doo rag regularly.

Betty Lou asked if I would stop and grab some beer on the way home from work. That usually means some sitting out on the deck shooting guns.

stopped at my sister's farm with the HW30 to pest a few yellow beaks.  they were out, but the wind was up so no shooting.  couldn't get to the back 20 acres as the river had crested its' bank and flooded their fields.  bridges were all closed.


however, my brother-in-law showed me some property his son's in-laws own that has huge old growth oaks on it. 


time to hit the nephew's wife up with some flattery and a gift before squirrel season gets here!

Bolt action, no recoil pad, just a steel plate.
