Quote from: redtrucker610 on July 11, 2017, 07:05:10 AMI did the same with mine. I just ran it for a few minutes not hooked to anything. Then did some short run time fills. After I had about 20 minutes on run time on it I changed out the first fill of oil to flush out any gunk left over from production. Its been running fine since then. I'm currently using the chemlube 751 in it. Quote from: Bizill on July 11, 2017, 03:02:26 AMI just ran mine. Didn't do any leak checks or anything. I did run it with no bottle hooked up for 10-15 mins with hydraulic oil and then drained it and removed the front cover and wiped out the residue. Refilled with fresh and called it good. Just be sure to always, always, always make sure there is water flowing to the head. Thanks for the info! I'm thinking that a 5 gallon bucket should do the job. Add a big block of ice.One thing that worries me a bit, is dropping that water pump in the bucket. If the case leaks, that might be a shock hazard.. Man up. I got busy this morning and didn't get to many of my chores today. Have not started any testing yet, since I wanted to test the dehumidifier in the basement. Don't want to run the compressor in 75% RH.. The dehumidifier is working poorly, so I'll be working on that problem before testing the compressor. When draining the break-in oil, did it look dirty or was it clean? Dirty as sin. Mine was a dark, turbid grey with metallic flakes swimming around.I'm asking, because I see a bit of clean-looking factory oil under the sight-glass. Maybe the factory testing oil already cleaned it out pretty good? Or not? Not.After reading the tiny manual, about installing a gasket on the hose from the output port, which gasket should be used? It states to make sure the little white teflon/delrin whatever is in there already. Mine was. There's a unopened bag of them, what size/color did you guys use? Or should I just use Teflon tape? Thanks,Rich

QuoteOne thing that worries me a bit, is dropping that water pump in the bucket. If the case leaks, that might be a shock hazard.. Man up. Could get a plug in GFCI. Keep in mind, the plastic case has NOTHING to do with the sealing on the wires/magnets. The wires/magnets are potted in epoxy. On the other hand, this is a product of china.......
This is your video right? Can't tell if the gauge is filled, but, it does look exactly like my gauge from the few glimpses I got... it should have been glycerin filled from day one..
Like the rest of the hose fittings, the gauge is M10x1.0 straight threads....I didn't find a better quality gauge, I didn't look really hard either... I did order one of these as a spare and use my tank gauges for comparison.http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Pressure-40Mpa-6000-PSI-PCP-Pump-Pressure-Gauge-With-M10-Fixed-Copper-Screw/401185905229?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649EDIT:Hummm, I just noticed. Your gauge is not glycerin filled? Mine is... Maybe they didn't use filled gauges in the early production models? Or, did yours maybe leak?
Yep, if it has the black plug it SHOULD have been filled. Yes, mine is glycerin filled. You can get glycerin at many pharmacy's, if the gauge is still working, just bouncing during run, filling it with glycerin will dampen the bounce. All the glycerin is in there for is dampening the needle.pop the plug out, use a syringe if you have one to fill the gauge with glycerin and replace the plug.
