No red hour glass yet, ... she named it that because of the red LED light, but I will admit, I was on ebay today looking at some Black Widow paraphernalia. Pendants, graphics, decals etc. trying to find something that could be added to the stock. hahaha

I have a Winchester model 94, .30-30 that is all tricked out with Syn-stock, Triple-Gel buttpad, Fiber optic sights, Weaver mounted 30mm Red Dot and all dialed in with the new Hornady FTX MonoFlex .
It has a howling Wolf on the side of the stock and she thought that was cool.... so she was wanting to "Theme" her Mrod too. LOL!
With Daves Black finish, along with the red ratting light, "The Black Widow" just fit perfect.

Well guys, I was all ready to bring my I.F.A.R.T. membership up a notch and try to kill a squirrel, or at least let my son kill a squirrel. We walked 2 miles and didn't evven hear a cutting, bark, rustle in the trees, or anything. Then my ex tells me she's never even seen a squirrel since she built the house out in the middle of nowhere! But we did gather 2 bucketfuls of corn ears for bait for starlings in the spring. Those lids fit tight too. No rats in the garage or I would be the one that would be shot! We didn't even see a decent sized bird, like a hosp or starling or anything. I was mad! I am going to make some starling decoys that I read about in another thread. A silver sharpie and a yellow sharpie and 5 or 6 decoys and I'll have it made this spring. I.F.A.R.T forever!!

EDIT: I remember several years ago when I was working 2nd shift, I would get up in the summertime and snipe starlings out the back window of my old house. I must have killed 50 that summer! I would literally fill a small walmart bag before I went to work. I did that 2 summers and never saw another one after that. lol

Loudly, and it showed this rat what it can do.
A head shot from 15 yards really mess up a rats head.
Pellet was Hunter Extreme .25

I only took a picture of the exit wound.
His head was split open

I got one last night. Well early this AM. 3 am to be exact. I was up with momma and took a gander and a fat one was sitting proud I. The feed troth... The 2200 bolled him over! But the bugger crawled into a hole before I got out there !!! GRRR

Well I had a weird experience attempting to trap a mouse. I set the trap yesterday morning just off to the side of the sliding glass door. It was baited with a little chunky peanut butter. About 2 hours later I looked out to check it and it's gone. I stuck my head out the door and saw the trap upside down in some leaves about 4-5' from where it was set. I immediately figured it was a chipper because they usually can drag the trap a ways.
After walking out there, it was actually a HOSP in the trap. I know they don't like peanut butter so he must have just hopped in the wrong spot, I promptly finished him off. I reset the trap, but it was still dark when I left for work this morning. Hopefully I caught a mouse overnight.

Funny story about this guy. I have my station set up now so they have to either climb up onto the bait station or get snapped in a trap on the other three sides. This guy was sitting on the edge of my bait station when I took a quick shot. I pulled the shot and this guy fell backwards (I assume I scared him or something) and fell into one of the traps. Not sure this counts as a kill...

I’m one of “those” bird watchers and been feeding birds for over 40 years and I can tell you a lot of birds like peanut butter, even House Sparrows. Many critters will eat it too.

I use 1 cup of peanut butter (crunchy or smooth), 1 cup lard (bacon grease, ground beef drippings, melted suet or store bought lard), 1 cup flour (any kind), and 4 cups cornmeal. Mix it all together. The amounts can vary, but you want the finished product to feel like putty. Store in the refrigerator up to a month.

I've thrown a whole piece of bread outside with half of it covered in peanut butter (for chippers) and the HOSPs eat everything but the peanut butter. The HOSP in the trap got caught by his rear end too so I don't think he was eating it.

You shot it and it did a death dance into the trap

Ok. I want to know who taught a rat to survey the perimeter and avoid the dingers. This little mo fo has learned to go BEHIND the dingers! I am chating with my breaux on Skype and out of the corner of my eye I see a blur of motion. Rat done went behind the dinger and grabbed some food and left before you can say ANYTHING!!

Oh, and the black rat has not returned so I must have hit him. To bad so sad. Die you little vermon.

I got the I.F.A.R.T survealance system up and running again tonight to see what they are doing while I am snoring. Vacation again starting Wednesday so something will die soon.
