I have made a mountain out of a mole hill. Already came up with workarounds to parts and I'm sure a solution for Hatans restrictions will be overcome by some of the tuning suppliers or some new entrepreneur.

yes its because of there liability.
you could ask gene if he would do your piston and install the j m seal if you do not want to do it your self he has the real machine shop tools not like me lol.

or like the other member said ask pete he makes his own seals and he has a hatsan .

Possibly in the future hatsan may change there policy but for now they are where they are.

I sent a reply back to Hatsan USA and asked if I could give them the serial number of my rifle and let them void my warranty and sell me parts. Have not heard back yet.

I also contacted Hatsan in Turkey asking for assistance. Waiting on reply.

Don't know if he can help but try contacting Joao of American-ArmsCorp.com. See if he can get parts for ya.
Like I said, I can't speak for him as far as getting parts from Hatsan, but ask him and see.
Shoot him an email on his web site or post in his vendor gate.
Keep us informed. We could all use an outlet for Hatsan parts.

I'm in the same boat as I have my .177 95 apart and it has a manufacturing defect on the face of compression chamber that will ruin any replacement seal. Depending on Hatsans response my options are to attempt to knock the chip loose or use it for a parts gun.

A short video shows the chip at the end of the dragged gouged face surface. It may very well be easy to knock loose but I am hesitant to try with no knowledge of the availability of a replacement, 12" deep bore isn't easy to fix.

If anything this makes Crosman's policy of customer support parts all the more impressive.

At least with gammo you can order a new breech seal,replacement trigger guard, and sights. That makes them a little more customer friendly than Hatsan.

That's bad news. If you have a Walther Talon Magnum, Umarex is more than happy to sell you parts for it. And they are cheap (except for the barrell.) But I'm pretty sure that the barrels they sell you are Lothar Walther barrels- if i remember correctly, that's what I was told. But it's be cheaper to just buy another caliber WTM, refurbished, than to buy a brand new barrel for one.

If---as hinted above---Hatsan USA is a Wal-mart front group you can look for all other brands to disappear from the W-M shelves in time. So if you've been considering buying something they stock as a fair price you might wanta get off of your duff. Worth thinking about. Tom

I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy but that one has me laughing. In the scheme of things airguns are to Walmart gross sales as salt packets are to McDonalds. Still if Hatsans suddenly get rebranded Rachel Ray or Martha Stuart I'll admit I'm wrong. One thing I do agree though, Chinese imports are going to go up, not down in price.

I also got about the same line when I suggested the muzzle velocity was not up to par. I told them I was getting an average of 735 fps from my .22 with CPHP 14.3 gr pellets. Here was their response:

"The Model 95 .22 cal velocities asre rated in the factory with a 13.93 grain match pellet.
This likely the reason for the velocity drop off. We suggest that you try
a pellet in this weight to see if you get an acceptable velocity range of
760 - 800 FPS. If this does no work you may return the gun to: Hatsan USA
1300 Melissa Dr. #124
Bentonville, AR 72712"

Anyone know where I can get a 13.93 gr match pellet in .22?

Hmmm I wonder if it is the case of them being scared of being sued if people hurt themselves installing parts, I have been emailing Hatsan USA and there more than happy to sell me a stock and any other parts I want for my Striker, I just need a customs broker?
Hatsan Turkey who I tried first just told me to contact there NZ distributor, who has 0 interest in helping me.
