I want to link a few of my old posts here as they show the hunting capability and some stats of the Rainstorm, which IMO is a better value than the Marauder...but just my opinion.

I certainly this info helps someone out there choose a rainstorm as their next PCP. I just wanted to add something as well. to the best of my knowledge, many of the issue with the original rainstorms like pellets clipping the end cap of the shroud have been dealt with by Evanix, so disregard that in my final post.

Thanks for the info! I've been looking real hard at these korean guns, particularly the rainstorm as my next pcp. Seems to be an excellent bang for the buck! I really hope they have a .25 cal rainstorm in the works!

Thanks for posting these links. The Rainstorm is one of my favorite hunting rifles, and has picked up a lot of fans since it's release. I had this gun out on a prairie dog shoot last year and couldn't believe how accurate it was on long range shots with heavy pellets. I'm sure we 'll see a lot of fans of this gun joining us.

I surely hope we do get more people to buy this gun. To be honest it's the only gun I regret selling. But the lovely thing about that is they still make it and I would have no problem gettin one now.

I was glad that I was able to work out my situation that was pushing me to sell mine. I really enjoy it, for the short time I've had it, compared to my unwieldy ex Marauder.

How does the rainstorm compare with the marauder on noise? That is an important consideration where I shoot.

Have a .177 RS that was tuned by Will Piatt, Shoots Eugins 16g at 900 FPS and shoots dime sized groups at 50 yds! Never thought I would ever own a .177, but with the 16g. Is putting out FP's of some .22's.

That's one place the Rainstorm could be better, it is a fairly loud rifle. On the other hand, it's putting out a lot of power. It's not the rifle I pull out to shoot in the backyard, but it's the one I grab when heading for the woods.

Its loudness and need for tuning is the only reason I have held off on purchasing one.

I was shooting my Rainstorm side to side with the Maurader .25

!st I thought the Rainstorm was Louder, but a friend mentioned the Maraured was, so I let him shoot and I listened, indeed the Maurader .25 was louder, the Ping made it sound louder to the shooter, and that was before Will did work on the Baffels, I had the real early version with the haircurlers baffels.

I honestly don't think it's very loud at all. Mine was a bit louder than an mrod. The pellet impact was significantly louder than the shot itself. Depinging the rifle will help the noise a lot

I think a complete job by Will is in the 150 Bucks Range, ..the already smooth lever action comes back extra Butter Smooth
