Manny... please don't make them all shiny and glassy.

Quote from: Firewalker on February 17, 2022, 08:10:03 PMMMMM, Shiny!! They will be shiny tomorrow with buffed Carnuba oil wax but then they naturally will dull up with use
Carnuba Paste Wax, been using it on my bows for over 2 decades.Love how it gives the wood that hardwood feel, can buff it or can leave it completely dull.
Done

Nice job Manny.... I could live with that.Back in the days of the (Xisico) FD PCP 'tinkerer's dream' guns Betty Lou and I redid a few of the stocks. I believe they were beech. Beech is an odd wood to work with. It depends on grain direction whether it runs side to side or top to bottom. If top to bottom you'll get that wormhole/pepper design and it gets blotchy. If side to side you can get a really nice grain pattern. We found two of the side to side patterns out of the three we had. One of those we refinished with the old jail house stain. Jail house method is simply coffee grounds. Put just enough boiling water in them to make them oatmeal consistency and rub them into the wood. Then we finished it with a satin gloss spray. The results....
Ok then; ....Regulator creep. The gun has been sitting at 200 BAR for over 24 hours, this test was purred by someone asking about creep on an other thread.same 28gr Benjamin pellets, same 45 FPE tune ( this gun will stay at this tune just about perfect imo )852854856851852849852849849849I know nothing about regulated guns so you can draw your own conclusions
Manny, how long did you pause between shots?
