The other issues I would have dealt with. I sent it back for exchange. It is about a 1-2 week process, so hope they are back in stock by then. Anyway, thinking I will refinish it as well. Is there a chemical stripper that is recommended? Trying to avoid the sanding of the laser engraved parts.

Do these Crosman Turkish Walnut stocks need to be stripped? I was just thinking I'd need to go over it really well with alcohol to remove any dirt/grease, then with 000 Steel Wool, wipe it down real good and then apply the sealer. I ordered some Maccari’s Royal London Oil to do the finish. I have ready some great reviews on it, and it seems pretty easy to use.
Thanks guys for the replys. When I get the stock will start its own thread. Johnie, do you have a picture or link to project? Like to see how nice it looks.Tt, What is the good stuff? While I live in NY and probably have the same ban on chemicals, the PA border is not that far away. Otherwise, I'll go citrus, which I have used before.

I did put some water on the inletting between gauge and trigger assy. It beaded and after a few hours hadn't soaked in the wood. So, oil or some finish on there.

Citrus Strip is a process. It does work.
Here is my Akela; it was a luck of the draw that I received a Turkish Walnut stock that had no personality... But thye elbow work was a nice improvement.

Did you do a toothbrush in there with the citrus stuff!?
Yes, I bought the 8oz bottle years ago, and it keeps on giving... a little goes a long way.
This?
