That thing had been a nice surprise and moves way up in the  faves list..   i got set up in the barn shop so wind , rain, daylight no longer a obstacle..    convenient quick shooting. 

Its been more fun than a barrel full of gamos😜

Shooting against the wind vs Shooting with the wind.
So Shooting towards the wind my poi was high & to the right. Was going to readjust the elevation when my wife said maybe it's the wind. So I switched positions with my target, Shooting the opposite direction from where I was at. And vwala elevation was perfect,  she so smart.

Better then my in the wind shots,. Good grouping    i can't catch the wind steady each shot to keep em tight.

So wile waiting on the instapot i figured id pump a gew moer into the target i showed above , i was like wow i need to picture this one the got that high flier the next shot to ruin it .. always that one to spoil my group. Darn it.

Got to try out my new Gamo Whisper Swarm .22 a few weeks ago. This is after I managed to get the scope dialed in.

The clown got 4/5 to the quarter sized nose at 25m. Gotta work on that trigger control.

People keep saying newer entry level PCP's outperform higher end springers. I had to see for my self what all the fuss was about and got this together. Its quiet, light weight and fairly powerful. Took 13 shots at the target (was used, covered old shots on the paper). Three sighters to figure wind (two are on the left), then just held center and lobbed ten more down. I had started at a lower fill pressure, below 2000psi shots started to fizzle out and drop low, but wanted to see how it would group in the "sweet spot", so I only measured those...

Pic #2 is the whole picture of the target after being shot. I think the two holes on far right were pre-shot, I've been using that cardboard as a target backer for a while now...

Yeah, the only thing is having to ensure that barrel is centered in the shroud and having adjustable rings to even get on target at this distance. I could have done it with a roll of electric tape (like the Daisy 880 barrel tape mod) and a set of $25 adjustable rings (videos on YouTube show what's needed), but did a "not so-budget" rings and moderator setup/barrel centering device on this one...

Man I tried.  I’ve been working to better stabilize the soda straw barrel and shroud on my Crosman 2100.  I’m making progress and I’m encouraged that I’m on the right track.  Shooting 8gr Umarex hollow points, 8 pumps, I’m getting 1”  groups at twenty yards. I’ve got some ideas I want to try to improve the air sealing efficiency, further stabilize the action and beef up the pump arm.  The goal is 1/2” groups at twenty yards and anything north of 715 fps.  Today the wind was gusting from several directions and totally throwing me off.  But when the wind lies down it is showing some potential.

Carter, apologies for the delayed post on this but have an idea to stabilize the barrel on the 2100 (and similar). You could either do the "tape mod" requiring the removal of the shroud and wrapping tape around the actual barrel to fit snug in the shroud. Alternatively, if you carefully remove the front sight/muzzle cap and pack some sort of material around the barrel (down an inch or so) keeping the barrel centered you can pour in some epoxy. Leave room to reinsert the muzzle cap and let the epoxy set up (keep muzzle up for a day or so).

Most the air leakage on the 2100 is from around the bolt. There's fixes for that, but I haven't gone that far, yet.

Best wishes in getting things sorted out. The 2100 is a fun airgun with a ton of potential.

The memsahib would not stand for that!  My spouse is a tyrant with the dogs. IMO our dogs are over trained. I don’t require much from my dogs.  There needs to be someone around here who is more lazy than me.

Great shooting everyone!

This afternoon was one of those times when nothing wanted to work out for me, Lol. I had to "custom fit" a pair of scope rings to the new Cayden, and after all was said and done, they were 2mm too short to allow use of the magazines. Then brought out the Origin and got this mess at 100yards...
(Note: I haven't been filling to maximum pressure, but to ~2800psi to ~2000psi is the "sweet spot" for this gun, under ~2000psi shots start dropping, second refill was ~2600psi)
