Another Thumb Up for the A.U.O Silencer

It is not everyday you get an opportunity to give your opinion on a new product that is yet to be in the market and lucky for me I was given this chance by Charlie (MrBulk).  Without an LDC on my airguns, I don’t think I could shoot much in my back yard.  Too many loud shots and that can draw the attention of neighbors, so it is always a struggle to get a new airgun to be backyard friendly.  I think we can all appreciate a new product that will allow us to enjoy shooting in our back yard without worries.  Charlie really did a great job of testing out a whole bunch of silencers and that can be so useful to many of us who are looking into purchasing one of these silencers.  Well, I can summarize my view on the A.U.O as one worthy device you can enjoy.  The design is simple and straight forward.  Two threaded end caps for easy disassembly and the internal can be changed out if you decide to upgrade or test with other baffle design if you wish.  The outer material is made of aluminum and powered coated which gives it a very even matt finish. The threads are professionally machined without slop and the end caps screw in smoothly.  The 1/2x20 threated end works great too.  The 3d printed single mono core look and feels very sturdy so in my opinion I think it can handle a 30-40+ FPE airgun easily.  The only issue I ran into that can be fix easily is the two rubber washers which don’t allow the end caps to close snuggly due to the fact that as you twist the end caps to a certain point the rubber washer resist and push back… a little silicone unbind the rubber grip.  In summary, I hope the A.U.O will be available one day to all of us.  It is very professionally made with quality material and allow the end user some flexibility in changing out the baffle system.  With 3D printing becoming so popular these days, we can experiment with endless baffle design.  I would buy the shell alone if that is available and fill in my own internal design and material.  Here is a video for your enjoyment.  Oh, and thanks Charlie.

Yes, HAIII is much tougher than HAII.

I was a flashaholic many years ago, so I am quite familiar with anodizing.

Might be nickel boron or just plain nickel 

One thing I like about plating is that the tolerances don't get affected.

When I install screws on nickel plated threads they actually feel much smoother.

They also become very resistant to scuffs and scratches

When I woke up at 3am, the USPS box containing the AUO LDC was already on top of the kitchen table top 

Son told me it was in the mailbox.

Shipped Feb 16th, then arrived on the 18th of the same month and year, WTH?! 

This SOB looks very nice and sexy!

Mr. Charlie handpicked this for me--perfect anodizing and no dings, scuffs, or scratches, but they obviously come this way!

No, I am not going to have this one plated anymore, as it is a fine piece.

I will sleeve it though like I do all my moderators

I have 2 of the 7” version but I will order more 😝

Their tips are tapered and laser-cut, so they don’t look unfinished.

I also saw an FDE and Coyote version (1” ID) but they are 5” and 8” vs the LDC’s 7”.

It might work though because a tight-fitting one contorts
