Calling all connoisseurs of spirits

Just finished a batch of coffee liqueur
used the Bacardi Gold in this bottle, and it turned out good enough to be a sipping liqueur

Back when I first moved to Lufkin in 2005; the county was dry. No biggie, I've made homemade wine for decades.

Lufkin went wet in 2007. At the time I had 15 gallons of wine. Over the years, I've drank quite a bit of it; but still have maybe 5 gallons left. It's good stuff now. Really good. Strong too.

We have similar tastes, pondering as I sit here sipping a Dragons Milk. The company I work for is in Holland Mi, so hit up New Holland brewery every time I go up. I love a good reposado and anejo, and mix up mango, strawberry, and pineapple margaritas 4 nights a week for the wife. Hornitos is our current well adder.

Sicilia Perricone Guarnaccio 2016 Tasca d’Almerita
From a native Sicilian vine, this is a very versatile and pleasant red.
The aromas of blackberries and sour cherries are refreshed with balsamic notes, and it has a fruity, slightly textured taste with a well-balanced finish.
Now you just need to get Betty Lou to actually Cook the starlings!
( I recommend copious amounts of the Wine first.)

Now a nice Chianti goes with Chicken so could go well with starling.
Maybe add some Fava beans?

Have you tried any of the Balcones distillery products? (located in Waco)
They have some corn-based bourbons, and the Baby Blue has a great reputation. I actually tried some about a year or so ago, and I'm not a bourbon drinker, but it was pretty pleasant, if I must say so myself.

They have some corn-based bourbons, and the Baby Blue has a great reputation. I actually tried some about a year or so ago, and I'm not a bourbon drinker, but it was pretty pleasant, if I must say so myself.

I'll mention them to my son-in-law who lives near Galveston.
Maybe I'll get to try them during our next visit....

When you do start looking, though, check the prices in different stores. In my area, a bottle of Baby Blue may cost 35 dollars, or some stores will have a pricetag of 75 on it. My local places vary WIDELY.

Cuban export and I can only seem to find it in Mexico... and I LOVE it!
Surely you can't buy booze on the internet or every 16 year old would be doing it.

Hmmmm....inter esting! I wonder if one of your local liquor stores (you guys DO have liquor stores, I assume) could special order for you to be shipped to their store, then you pick up. It may be worth asking.

Already have... they look at me like I am from Mars. 
Plus Hoosier Mommo is the "Bar Manager" at the Lodge and the "Food and Beverage Manager" at the local highfalutin Golf course.
Her distributors have no access.
 I think is the Cuban embargo stopping it?

But when I travel south of the boarder, it is my "go-to"... even stocked in my room (second from the left, next to Jim).
