I got up and at 'em at 3:30 AM but missed the time frame for a Good Morning (at least with all in North America).

 I did my usual Sunday things. Then I grilled a couple of Ribeye's for lunch. I did an excellent job, if I do say so myself!     they were perfect Ribeye's cooked perfectly to our liking too!

It is a beautiful day, sunny and 70°F with 45% humidity on our back deck.  There is a 2mph breeze. 

 I am going to just relax until our evening Church service, I might take a 20-30 minute power nap???

Good Morning. Happy "Green Day"! 

I woke up a little after 5:00 and tried to go back to sleep but gave/got up at 5:30.

 Today's weather forecast is not as perfect as yesterday's weather was.

  A mix of clouds and sun this morning followed by increasing clouds with showers developing this afternoon, high of 67°F, winds WSW at 10 to 20 mph.

 I don't have any specific plans for today except for Corned Beef, Cabbage, and Potatoes at some point. My wife bought a "Blarney Stone" Corned Beef from our local Supermarket Chain and we expect it will be great as it always has been.

 Our 10 Day forecast is showing a high of 66°F tomorrow and then highs between 73°F and 92°F with the Humidity dropping as low as 16% in the next 8 days.

Kind of a ruff night.. Betty Lou woke me up a couple times asking me to turn over so I would stop snoring. 
I finally gave up at 4 and got up.
I'm 1/4 Irish but nothing planned to mark the day. I did look in the mirror to see if my eyes are green today.. they often change between blue and green or just hazel which is the case today.

Mornin y’all.  I got up at 0400 and walked the perimeter.  It was cool and windy but the moon was still up and we saw no critters. I took a pain killer and went back to bed.  I just got up about 1000 and Belle immediately brought me a rope, then a ball, and finally a stick.  I think she’s trying to tell me something.

AFTER I exercise the dog I plan to take it easy today.  I may restretch a bunch of used canvases/grounds or just re-gesso them.  There’s plenty to do in the garden.  Or with airguns.  I found my folder of photographer’s colored transparent gels.  I need to cut some round, green and red filters,  to go on my 1 million candle power spot lights.  With the spots mounted on tripods I can set them up to illuminate the pasture behind the house.  Experiments have shown that the local Armadillos are not habituated (yet!) to green or red lights.

Tomorrow I go in for my post surgical evaluation.  This one still hurts like a mother so I intend to drag the recuperation process out as long as possible.  That means lots more at home, maintenance and leisure projects for the next couple of weeks!

Spring Break for a solid week, so it’s a mini vacation for me 🥴

I plan to visit a powdercoating shop today to have 2 of my ugly but decasted 22xx/13xx OEM grip frames painted.

Yes, I can’t stand them and I don’t care what others say 

I hope they have a sandy texture silver-grey as I don’t like the vein or hammered look.

 I up at 5:00 today.

 I am surprised my internet is working this morning because I got an email from the provider that said it would be off today for an upgrade to their system.

 I plan on going through the carburetor on our Honda power washer today since I have plans to use the power washer tomorrow. It was surging a little last time I started it.

Mornin y’all!  It’s spring break and for maybe the first time in twenty years I am NOT going to be out there in the thick of it!

What a relief!

Yeah I planned it this way.

Going in to see the surgeon for my first postoperative visit today. Everything is good with the shoulder.  Im hoping for at least two more weeks of medical leave.  Maybe the memsahib and I will get some lunch in town.  When she’s worried She won’t eat and she looks hateful at anyone who suggests eating so I’m not holding forth much hope.

It's kinda like working at Baskin Robbins with diabetes.   

It's bulk grocery shopping at Walmart in Troy and that is the complete opposite of the scenery spectrum. If you've seen the folks that frequent Walmart you know what I mean..

Good morning, repairs on the van are coming along. water pump working with no leaks, fan belt didn't sling off, original front engine mount removed without breaking any bolts, and the battery is charged. Now to move the car where I can get it all straightened out and get the bumper and headlights back on. Get a few things done in the garden while I am waiting for the dew to dry off some.

Good morning!

  Well today is the day to start on paint prep on the church building. First we are going to go buy the paint and then come back and start the prep work.

 He is supposed to be here between 8-9 AM to start and we have Bible Study tonight so we will have to knock off about 4:00 PM The next two days will be longer with no restrictions except daylight and temps. Our morning forecast lows are 42° Thursday and 51° Friday. The High temps forecast are 76°F today 75°F tomorrow and 80°F on Friday. There is 0% chance of rain forecast through the 27th.   

It is 43°F out there right now.

Mornin y’all!  The PA at the doctor’s office refilled my prescriptions for pain killers and authorized another month of sick leave yesterday.

Bismillah effendi!  Zut allors!  I invite Mafoo to admire me!  Once again I have triumphed over the forces of conformity and regimentation!  The MAN is out to grind you down and drive your little round butt into a tiny square hole.  When fate gives you a chance to get a little of your own back you gotta grab a hold with both hands!

So having (metaphorically) wrested the meat from the tiger’s jaws I retire to my abode to enjoy the fruits of my swindle labors.

I’ve seen those videos of the people at Walmart.  Fortunately the three Walmarts that we visit aren’t like the ones in the videos.  It’s more of a neighborhood thing from what I see.  We have a Walmart in Renton that is like going into an East African nation in a war zone.

Today’s plans are to start setting a tile floor.  I’ll be so relieved when this is done.  It’s embarrassing how long this project has drug out.  Life happens…

Oil change/tire rotation scheduled at 1500 hrs.  It will be a coffee date with Mrs.P .  They have a fancy latte machine at the dealership that we will utilize while we wait.

After thirty years living all over our great country I returned to the bucolic little town Where I was raised.  When My wife and I first walked into the Walmart here I said “This is why I left this place.”

She totally got it.

The plans for today are already completed.
We stopped for breakfast at the local diner the went to Troy for our monthly bulk grocery run.
We got back and carried the groceries in the I went up on the roof and pushed off 6+ years of pine straw and other fallen debris. It was 6" of thick decomposing nastiness. So much that the last big rain we had backed up under the ridge cap of the tin roof and leaked in the bar.
What a mess we'll have to clean up on the ground. We'll pitch fork it into the yard trailer and haul it out into the woods. I dump it on the trail I made through woods to keep under growth from growing.

Next I need to go down to the barn and move the large John Deere tractor.. it's leaking oil on the new concrete. I'll put a large tote under it to catch the leak until Nick gets back in a month or so to fix it.
