Thanks guys, we got the house! Somehow early in the morning someone else had made a bid on it. We submitted ours as well and both bids were identical. We cut our request for closing costs in half and they accepted. Still can't believe it. It is a REALLY good deal in an area that is growing fast and I'll finally have a place at home to shoot. I'll be able to go 100+ yards too.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! I woke up at 0400, wanted to go back to sleep for another hour, but got up at 0415. I’m on my second cup o’Joe. Sure seems like Autumn is in a holding pattern here, mid 50*s during the day and low to mid 30*s at night. Yesterday I looked at the Farmer’s Almanac and they’re about right so far. And if they continue to be right, it’s supposed to get cold and deliver snow January and February around here. I’ll enjoy it while we can. I don’t have a job on me for today, yet. I’ll get ready anyhow and call the office around 0800.

Up since 4:30.
Seems I've worked myself into a routine of getting up for an hour or so around midnight. Been doing that every night for the past several months. I still get around 6 full hours of sleep but it's broken in 2 parts.
33 out now and expected to hit 60 with 0 chance of rain. I'll spend most of the day in the shop with the shooting window open or outside.

Mornin y’all.  The pups got me up at 8.  Right now they are enjoying a romp around the yard.  I’m making tea.  The  memsahib is still gone to Texas.  Today is a day off and I plan to spend it doing as little as possible.

Today looks like a good day to enjoy the day off.  I'm burning more use-it-or-lose-it vacation, so I'll probably go visit my father in the hospital.  His next move will likely be into long-term nursing facility.  It is frustrating but he's in good hands.  My mother hopes he improves enough to get back to their assisted living place but I'm doubtful.  This entire last couple of years really drives home that ignoring one's health and continuing the destructive behaviors of heavy smoking, lack of exercise, and general malaise toward activity does not end well. 

Other than that, I'll be tinkering with my PP700, maybe even order some parts.  I'm leaning in the direction of a new grip, a Huma regulator, and ordering some .177 NSAs and seeing what this pistol can do with slugs, given how well .22 NSAs are working in my ...  Multi-Pump airguns!  I also keep eyeballing my PR900; I really need to order a .177 barrel for that.  And now that I think about it, I "need" a .20 barrel for my Leshiy, but those appear to be unobtanium and holy smokes, EdGun of Spain still has them (along with LW .22 Lelya barrels ).  I'll be talking to Sonja later about those since we're been gravitating back to .177, .20, and .22 as our favorites.  Our big-bores have the... umm... larger caliber field covered.

We put a couple antiques up for sale recently and if they sell at estimated values, the sales could be game-changing.

Thanks guys! And there will be pics. We are closing sometime in early January. We sold our house last September, moved out of state and have been living in a 1 bedroom apartment ever since. We've looked at MANY houses over the last several months. I can't wait to get out of here. There is even a fenced in area for our dog.

Congratulations Tater, I am late because I focused on my wife yesterday. 


She was/is very happy to be back home although she had a great time with the grandkids and great grandkids up north in Idaho. She was/is a bit sad that it doesn't seem like Christmas here in SO CA in Tee Shirt weather. 


No plans until Bible study tonight, I'll figure it out as I go.

 It's 42°F here and my office was 64°F this morning, So I think I am going to "winterize" sealing off the window air conditioners and the roof top swap cooler today. That's a sure way to bring on a heat wave  , LOL

I'm hoping to finish up installing a Ring outdoor camera system around the house and garage.   I'm not as agile on ladders and running wire as I once was but I'll tackle it carefully.

Just don't do like I did and wear hiking boots on the ladder. Dang eye let caught on the side of the ladder and pinned my foot to it. Came real close to falling to the left side. Grabbed the roof and pulled myself back up right.
