Below freezing here this morning with frost on everything. Had sweat pants on under my pants then a thick jacket over my sweatshirt but like Robert I forgot my gloves so my hands were chewing me out for that where I had to rotate one to another in a pocket while driving the mower in the breeze inspecting my property for hog damage at 8am.

My bank gave me a batch of Southern pecan medium roast coffee that smells wonderful so I'm looking forward to trying that out!

My poop scoop has one wood handle because I replaced it at some point, the other is still steal tubing and at 31°F was not pleasant to hold on to, the wood warmed quickly and very much in comparison.
 (Note to self wear at least one glove when its chilly like this morning, and a jacket...)

I thought of that too, and it's not a bad idea. I will look around to see it I have a dowel the right size. Most of the time it isn't a problem. I think I remember the one I replaced rusted from the inside out and would have been too short if I reused it. In the long run I will need to replace it at some point anyway.

I fill an old 5 gallon paint bucket in about a week and then relocate it to a brushy ravine that is too far away to throw dung.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! I got up at 04-something. Close enough to 0500, so I didn’t really look, I just got up and turned on the coffee. I had a really good 3-day weekend with plenty of airgun shooting. This week I’ll be on call at work. I have a compressor to replace in a freezer, but there’s no dispatch on me yet, in case they want me to do something else. So, after my second cup o’Joe, I’ll get ready for work and put Ayrabella on the bus for school. I’ll have to call the office around 0745 to see what I’m doing today.

Up just before 5 and did the normal routine. Answered nature's call, made coffee and took care of the dogs.
I woke up cold last night and had to pull a blanket on top of the cotton sheet I normally use. 34 out there now and only expected to hit mid 50's today. Might be a good day to put a fire in the pit. Maybe get the mower out and blow some of the leaves that the recent rains brought down.
Betty Lou's new Daisy Model 25 is expected to arrive today. I'll clean the mag/barrel out, drill the peep sight and get it sighted and start breaking it in for her. I know there are ways to lighten the trigger pulls on these so I may do a bit of research into that on both guns.
The large propane tank is at 40% so I'll call for a delivery soon.

Good morning, 43* with the wind picking up already. Hopefully that will dry up this soggy mess of a yard quick. 16 inches in 14 days, I don't need anymore rain. Pick up stuff that the wind knocked down last night, top off feeders for the chickens, finish up Christmas presents for the family. Move tender plants into the fish cleaning shack / winter green house. Whatever floats the boat for the day.

Up at 5:35 after a night of mostly light sleep, Oh well! I took care of the pets and I am finishing my coffee now. I plan on getting the house extra clean and all the laundry done and put away, all the dishes put away too, the refrigerator cleaned out. Mow my front yard, get the car washed and anything else I see or can think of so that my wife  and I can just relax when she gets home tomorrow.


  I also need to go buy a few groceries. I plan on cooking for her tomorrow afternoon too.


  I better get after it now!

Good luck Jerry. I hope you can find a good apr for the loan and don't have to go for a adj mortgage. Those adj mortgage are the worst. Never had one myself but know people who have.

Woke up just after 0600 to Bella barking.  A couple of the boys were up getting ready to go scout some hunting grounds.  I guess she didn’t recognize them in the dark?  Anyway once she did, all was well.  I stayed up and heated up some leftover coffee.  Hung out for a bit then went and got cozy with Mrs. P back in the covers.  Got up again @0830.  More coffee and made those omelets for breakfast.  We headed out to Wally World and Costco.  Filled up at Costco for our visit with my MIL at her place.  We are having tacos and peppermint bark for dinner and dessert.  Both prepared by Costco (easy).  Ran Bella outside for a bit and now she is wore out and dozing while Mrs P pets her.

Dan I needed a wood handle for my grill and I didn't have a dowel but I did have a piece of 2x4 so I cut it to 1x1 size then used the table grinder to smooth the sharp edges round and it worked great.

 I don't need it that bad, LOL (I do understand repurposing and making things needed.
 I have quite a few dowels and probably have one just like needed to replace the steal when the time comes.

I got most of my to do list done and a BUNCH of other stuff. I picked up all the dog poop and ran the weed whacker on both sides of the fence and the sidewalk before mowing. Instead of just mowing the front yard I mowed some of the acreage too.


 As far as in the house I did all the floors again, 4 loads of laundry, then made sure everything is clean and sanitized, including cleaning out the fridge, taking out trash and recycles. I then cleaned and sanitized the kitchen trash can and the recycle can before putting new bags it them.


 Yes I am that guy that can't stand having any trash can dirty!


  I had the doors and windows open all day and just let it air out as I cleaned. It got up to 75°F, the Humidity was 9-11% this afternoon today so, the weather was great!

  I worked pretty hard today!


  I was going to cook for my wife tomorrow but decide to take her out instead, mainly because I don't want to go grocery shopping now.


  That means the only thing I have to do in the morning is get the car washed since that is the only thing I didn't get done today. I pick her up at 12:30 PM from the Palm Springs Airport.


  The Dogs and cat are going to be glad to see her.

Thanks guys, we got the house! Somehow early in the morning someone else had made a bid on it. We submitted ours as well and both bids were identical. We cut our request for closing costs in half and they accepted. Still can't believe it. It is a REALLY good deal in an area that is growing fast and I'll finally have a place at home to shoot. I'll be able to go 100+ yards too.
