Good Morning GTA! Up at 0424 CDST. Yesterday I got my mind locked on cutting down this dying tree in front of my house. I got ready and a call dropped for work at 0745. So I went to work, but on the way I inquired about a towable lift. The rental place I paid a visit to gave me a big ol’ run around, but I was determined. It was going to cost me $327 for a 35 foot lift, when I was looking for a 54 foot lift for $255. We use these things and other things like trailers, etc. often from commercial rental joints, but personnel, price and available equipment has changed at this particular place. But this job needs to be done. I also intended to pickup a new saw, but that didn’t work out either. My go to guy had no saws in stock. I didn’t feel like dropping another $500 at Lowe’s for a saw. So after work I went home to see if I could get my old Poulan Pro 50cc 20” going before I picked up the lift. I brought home a new bar & chain and with the stress of all going on I didn’t even think to get a spark plug & air filter. The saw fired up but would bog down after I took off the choke. So back out I went, to get the lift, and parts for my saw. While all this was going on, my wife got ahold of my landscaping neighbor who told my wife “don’t let John rent that lift, I got one!” So I got home and got my saw running hot and took down 2 smaller trees that also needed to come down. I cleaned everything up and my neighbor got home about dinner time and I see the lift towed behind his big red Ram. He texted me last night and we’re taking down trees today at 0800. Sorry for the long rant, but this job has been a long time coming and yesterday was turning pretty stressful. Work will be picking up too, which is how things like this always get put on hold. I’m so glad this is going to finally get done and isn’t going to cost me an HW & a Hawke to do it! I’ll make sure my wife takes pictures.
Well, it's been an adventure but both atvs have a brand new set of taller, more aggressive tires on them.I have a set of 2" spacers coming to set the front wheels on Betty Lou's Kodiak out to better match the stance of the rears. It looks great with the taller wheels and set out 4" on the rear. She'll be able to straddle ruts much better.I went 2" taller and more aggressive on the Rancher and set the rears out 2".All toll I think I spent around $600.Next, the Rancher gets snorkled and the radiator will get relocated up on top. Not in too big of a hurry to do hers, she don't go where I go... She goes around them big mud holes and pulls me out when I sink... lol

I am looking for new rubber on my Polaris 6x6 this year and so far, all I can find is Polaris tires, no-can-do!
Thanks Brother Dan, I’m quite relieved. I’m excited for your visiting daughter & family, that sounds like a good time!
Good Morning GTA! Up at 0430 CDST. And boy am I sore. We cut a total of 6 trees yesterday and it went great! Only chucked one small log through a window in my office. The log bounced off the trunk, skidded down the wall and took a bad hop off the bushes back into the window. It was just a lower sash, easily replaceable, considering ALL the hazards, it was nothing to me. I boarded the window up with a sheet of 1/4” plywood until the window guy comes. Other than that small mishap, everything else came down safely and I’m indebted to my neighbor, Adam. We’re both veterans and gun guys. On our way in for lunch, I had him take a shot from each: my Walther Parrus, DPMS Panther A4, Walther LGU, XS60C and my Diana AMO3 Stealth. He only took one shot each, as we needed to eat lunch and had the last tree to fell and cleanup. But, at 30 meters kneeling, with the AMO3, he nailed the 1” spoon. I told him one day we don’t have work to do, to come over & shoot. I figured I’d put up a post & some more pictures here: https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=159293.0
