Got the mowing done and loaded up the Rancher on the small trailer and headed to the nearest atv park. Betty Lou didn't want to go. Fortunately my card had enough punches that this trip was free. What a sloppy, muddy mess! I could only ride half the trails and couldn't get all the way down most of those. I figured I'd be better off up on the ridge.. not so much... first off, you have to get up on the ridge... secondly, you have to get back down the ridge.
Several miles of trails up there but there are also hills and valleys. The valleys were large, deep mud holes from runoff and the big boy buggies have mad some serious ruts. From the top you go down and around into them and you don't know what's there til you get there. Not option to turn around and go back the way you came.... and I'm not quite the young agile crazy man I used to be.
So, you decide the best route through the mud quagmires, hit the gas and hold on.
Those new tires impressed me..... heck, I impressed me.

I appeared to be the only rider up there and as much as I love the outdoors, I didn't want to live there.
I did about a 30 minute video and when I get time I'll post it to You Tube and share the link. I'll probably need to edit the audio...

there are some "OH $#!+" moments in it.
Anyways, I cleaned the aftermath off the bike in the wash rack and headed home.... just in time. The skies opened up and dumped buckets.

Thanks Brett! I took it easy today. After Ch**ch I filled that walnut stump with charcoal and lit it with half a can of lighter fluid. I raked the immediate front yard of all the little stuff and added it to the stump burning. That stump still needs to dry out for a proper burning, but it’s actually still hot inside now even. Quite relieved I am.

Take recycle in, wash car, top off gas tank, refill two 5 gallon gas cans with premium and Stabil for the generator and mower gas. I do not even use 3 gallons in the push mower all summer. What is left at the end of 6 months gets dumped into the car and repeat. I was going a year between gas swaps, but figure 6 months is better.

Oh,.. get the 2nd Shingles shot too.

As for saw gas (rarely used), I just went to the premixed can gas last. $8 per quart, but recently saw it for $4. Expensive yes, but better than having old 2 cycle gas, pouring it out and making new.

I have gone to draining the mower, gen. and saw here lately and running dry and storing dry.

Good Morning GTA! Up at 0430 CDST. March is almost over and we’ll be getting busy at work. I have a dinner with the guys at work tonight in Little Rock and a training meeting Tuesday morning. I don’t have a first call this morning, which is fine by me. I’ll put the girls on the bus to let my wife sleep in. I have to straighten up & wash my van. I also need to put together a class on 3-phase power monitors. I had some materials on my iPad that disappeared last month with some in house updating. I have the info I need, just need to put it together again. That’s my day plus a good bit of driving. If I didn’t have all this prep to do, I could’ve left early & visited my mom while I’m down there. As soon as the training meeting is done though, we all head out to work, which will send me back towards home.

Good Morning GTA! Up at 0500 CDST. My oldest daughter and her family will arrive from Memphis around noon. This morning (0630) I will run into town to pickup a few last minute items from Walmart. Boy I really like this curbside service because I really really dislike going into Walmart.

When I get back I guess I need to pickup the target stands on my backyard shooting range. It doesn't take long, especially when I put them on my green trailer. I just hook the trailer to my pickup and drive beside them and load them.

If they were staying longer the grandkids would enjoy shooting but sadly too little time for that this trip.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0445 CDST. The dinner and meeting went great in Little Rock. Came home yesterday from work and traded my wife’s 2016 Hyundai Tucson for a 2021 Santa Fe. Boy am I tired. I have my Wednesday morning meeting and a PM at the mall today. Should be a good day.

I like it, Bill. I really appreciate the fact that these cars are not completely built & shipped from overseas. A real good friend works for Honda in the Anniston area. He said they’re shutdown right now. Hopefully they’ll get back at it.

Yessir... there is a shortage of a certain microchip that is used in many auto brands. We use it as well but we have found a work around for getting it...

. It has slowed production on some models and I've heard rumors of going to a 4 day work week soon but, so far it's been business as usual.

BTW... a bit of inside trivia for you...
The inhouse code name for your Santa Fe is TMA PE. It's actually the 2020 model with a face lift. That code was the TMA.
We also make..
The DN8A = Sonata
The CN7A = Elantra
And the new sport truck NX4A = Santa Cruz

Up late welding a 33" extension on an old sled trailer so I can pick up mommas side by side today.

She opted for the 3 person until she found a 2020 model crew (6 person) for less than the 3 person. I'll take pics and give the details once I have it home.

Carter, good luck with the C-19 Vaccination. My Judy and I got our second one Monday. We didn't feel great yesterday. But today, all is good.
