Good Morning GTA! Up at 0300 CDST. I pray everyone got through the weather, we didn’t get as much rain as we thought, but it’s that time of year. We’ll soon get our share. Funny, I was dreaming of a tree I need to take down in front of my office, it was cracking, so I woke up..... The office, which I don’t use much, I want to become Ayrabella’s room, but my wife won’t have it until that tree is down. My neighbor is supposed to help me, but he’s pretty busy. If I don’t have any work today I may go get a towable lift and just take it down today & tomorrow. If I rent the lift, there’s actually a few more trees I want down, but this one tree is big and in bad shape.

Up at 5, coffee, GTA, boiler, work. I have the weekend off from work but have lots of chores to do so shooting will be limited.

I want to work on the bell target too though to be Frank, I will not use it until next winter as my outdoor range is open since the frost is leaving.

Mornin'... up at 3:00am 

All the ordered atv tires are in. I have a small window to get them to the tire shop on Saturday... 7am to noon. My guy said he will squeeze them in between a big job he has to do. Long story but there need to be some rim swapping between bikes so I need to check fit and clearance before I get tires mounted on rims. If everything don't go just right I'll be rim shopping... 
Going to reserve our RV spot for next weekend this morning. Friday morning to Sunday evening.
The plan is to get the RV stocked, trailer hitched and bikes loaded by Thursday night. Then get up early Friday, shower and hit the road. We'll grab a bite on the way.... or when we get there. I got it down to about an hour to set up. Betty Lou does inside and I do outside. Rambo marks the perimeter...

Our department has a dinner planned at 5:15 today at the local Mexican joint to welcome our new Korean Head Of Department... Mr. Kim. I've worked with him before when he came to the US and we set up a new model area. His English is sparse but we understand each other. He don't need to be much to be better than the last guy...    That dude was in way over his head and wouldn't listen to anyone. First on the agenda is to dig us out of the hole he got us in. Mr. Kim respects my experience and considers my suggestions... after all, that's all I ask.... it don't need to always be done my way. I don't claim to know everything. A new set of eyes will be welcome. There are a couple things that I stand pretty hard on and that didn't go too well with the other guy. These guys change every 4 years and they all got big ideas. It don't always work like it looks on paper. The normal problem is a culture clash. The newest asst. manager, Mr. Bae, has been in country for 24 years. he just got his citizenship... he is quite Americanized and gets it. He's very funny when he uses American slang and catch phrases with his Korean accent. One of his favorites is "copy that".

About 9:45 p.m. last night, I came out of the closet!
Well, literally, I walked out of the closet because the weather radio was announcing that the really bad stuff had moved on north and east of my neighborhood.  No damage here.  I just put the bags back in the trash container out front, and set it upright for collection this morning.

Possibly a haircut and off to work this afternoon.  Until then I’ll tidy up some things around here and possibly get started on turning a couple finials for a clock for a co-worker.

Glad you are OK now. I would say I am glad we don't have tornados to worry about here in So. Ca., but even though rare here, in the last thirty years two have hit the property I live on. Granted both were small ones but F1 or low end F2 still did about $35,000 for the first one and about $10,000 of damage the second (weaker? it may have been just less of a direct hit). Both times they just touched down on the adjoining vacant property to our south and we were the ones that got the worst in the path on the ground which was real short. My closest neighbors had some damage too and a mobile home park 5 miles away did too the same storm. The biggest surprise for me on that second one was that it laid down our 4' chain-link fence, you would think the wind would just blow through chain-link .

Here I took it in a good way... that Bill was able to book the site?

Oh wait... I meant I booked the site... my bad.
I had my choice of several and I took one that we had been in before and liked really well. We got it for $30 a day for both bikes and $25 a night for RV hookup for 2 nights. That's 30amp electric, water and sewage. They have free internet/wifi and the 2 flatscreens can tether though the phone. $140 for the 3 day weekend. They have onsite café, inground pool and a bathhouse if we choose to use it... we prefer to use our own. They have ice and chopped/split firewood for $2 and bundle of 10. Any kind of terrain you wish to ride on color coded for difficulty levels.... we ride them all. We can got out for 2 - 3 hour run and not hit the same trail twice. Bon fires at night for those who wish to mix and mingle.
We enjoy night rides the best... line up with folks you never met in your life with all kinds of fancy buggies and atvs.
Those folks are a lot like the folks here on the GTA... good folks with a common interest. 8 to 80 blind, cripple or crazy...
