Well I hate to say this but my compressor is dead, it ran fine for 2 test runs of about 4 seconds each, connected to my gun and DEAD, I tried different outlets and removed cover to spin crank, still it just buzzes and shuts off. ARGGGG, I contacted seller for the 30 day refund or exchange.
Just as a side note, some of the 220v units came with a 110v U.S. style cord attached.
One other thing that may help before you ship it back, the compressors are tested and the oil drained before they are packed, if the carton spent any time upside down the small amount of oil that's left in the crankcase will drain into the second stage piston and seals and cause a vapor lock. This same thing happened to me two years ago when my unit was new, I had to remove the jug from the first stage and the jug from the second stage and wipe out the excess oil or the motor would stall and hum. Those second-stage seals are brand new too and it doesn't take much to make the compressor stall on startup.
That is the right attitude, run it, fix it , run it....Those expecting to run Chinese compressor without turning some wrenches have a bad experience.Order a piston kit now and you'll only be down for minutes.
Best to be on a dedicated 30 amp.
Well I returned my !st compressor, and got my money back, than reordered one from another vendor, without the auto shut off, but this little thing gets with the program, filled up my FX Crown to 250 bar, it didn't get over 127 deg F, and the went to fill my CF tank of 97 CF, was about 3K lbs and went up to 4K lbs and the house breaker kicked off, and shut down, I find the phone, refer, computer are all on the same circuit, arggggg, so will ned to get a dedicted line to avoid interruptions, can this run on a standard 20 amp line? or go to 30?
The High Pressure end doesn't get lubricated by the oil, the oil only lubricates the shaft at the bottom of the piston. The only oil that gets to the HP end is what leaks by the first stage piston and gets entrained in the air flow.Quote from: Dan H on May 01, 2020, 02:24:58 PMQuote from: keefd on May 01, 2020, 01:26:25 PMI wonder how good this is:It's Royal Purple compressor lube, so it's not like running motor oil.NO royal purple is not designed to run in HIGH PRESSURE COMPRESSORS ! period ! its made for low pressure compressors HUGE difference ! ...we have members on here that are seeing burning oil/carbon residue in the high pressure side of the compressor running royal purple ! …. go back ,and read this thread , why on earth would you buy royal purple that cost the same price over chemlube 751 that is designed for this high pressure compressor ? ….

Sounds like using oil made for high pressure compressors (like Nuvair 751) is really important then.
I've been using the Royal Purple and filling 30 & 60 min SCBA tanks from empty to 4500 psi without issue on one of the compressors, parts finally came in for the second one now I have to put in the dedicated 220 outlet for the compressor to run on and I can fill more than one tank at a time.
